Tire choice

I would like to get a consensus from anyone who is using either the Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor tires or Firestone Destination A/T tires. I am looking to get the 255/75/r17. I have a 2 inch leveling kit on my 07 SE. Tire Rack has them for $129 each. The Firestones also have a $50 Home Depot giftcard. The Michelin Cross Terrain SUV is also $135 but they don't look as aggressive as the others. I really don't offroad much but am looking for a good all around A/T tire. I've read the reviews on the Wranglers but haven't heard much about the Firestones besides Tireracks reviews. What says the hive?

Thanks in advance,
Joe B.

ive heard good things about the firestones, but several years ago i had bad luck with that brand, so ill never get them again. now i had the GY SA on my 06 & they were great, handled well, quiet, good in rain , not bad in snow. didnt get a chance to go off road with em. i really liked them & still have em on my stock rims in the garage. i just wanted a more aggressive tire & wheel combo. some friends have the GY SA also, & they like em too, one guy even has over 60,000 mls. om them.

This is a good Destination thread. There's a link to a second Destination thread contained within.

Overall, based on reading here, the people with them seem to have a very favorable experience supporting the ratings that Tirerack has on the Destination A/T's.

Several members have the GY SA's and seem to be having great results with them too. This one talks about the GY SA
