my free exhaust system from Gibson Performance

Gibson is the greatest... ...i dropped off my 04 4runner on monday morning and they completed the job by tuesday morning...they installed a brand new exhaust system into my 4runner for free...i'm serious, at no cost with the regular warranty on the exhaust system as if you bought one from them...my 4runner was the first 4runner to have an exhaust system installed by Gibson since 96 because they specialize on domestic trucks and not imported trucks...toyota owners have been calling Gibson like crazy so the owner of Gibson decided to start making exhaust for toyota as well...

the exhaust runs great and sounds like a tiger...they dyno the car and said it gained about 7-10 hp and 7-10 ft/lb torque at 2000-4000 rpm...you can't beat this deal, thats all i have to say...a free exhaust system and also, i was able to keep my stock exhaust...

Why did they give you a free exhaust? I can't really tell from your post.

awesome!!

So we have
1. Gibson
2. Magnaflow
3. Borla
4. Trd-knockoff of Borla

Sounds like magnaflow has largest gains though. . .

are they going to make headers???

What about the loudness?

Hmmm, I'm going to wait and see how this develops.. . .the aftermarket is just picking up for us. . .I hope the 05 4 Runners won't be too different, which would slow the aftermarket down for us again. . .

headers will be abit more difficult to manage. the location of the cats on the v8 will be a daunting task to make it pass carb laws for ca/ny.

i highly doubt we'll see anything in the header department for awhile until they can figure out a way around it (the cat restricts way too much... the location of the stock is just plain bad).

toybox - gibson used my car to develop an exhaust system on the 4th gen. 4runner...by letting them used my car, they gave me the exhaust system that was developed for it for free...now they're able to deplicate aftermarket exhaust for the 4th gen...

also, i got hooked up with a tip and a t-shirt...i asked one of the guys that works there about headers but he said that they're not in the process of developing headers for imports, only domestic right now...

the exhaust sounds really clean...it's not too loud at all...it roars like a lion when i gas it...when i'm on cruising mode, you can barely notice any noise at all...

you can check them out at www.gibsonperformance.com ..you can try getting a free exhaust system by clicking through the free exhaust offer icon...MUST LIVE IN/OR NEAR SOUTHERN CA FOR THE PROMOTION...

i'll try and post some pix up when i get the chance to...

here's the link

Do you have a picture of how the Gibson exhaust looks? Also, does it exit out the rear like the stock or out the right?

Thanks,

Rick

So how much is it for us regular peons?

I like their design as it only exits a single side. The dual side exhausts are cool, but variety is the spice of life.

I saw a price for the gibson single side exit exhaust in the performance products catalog.
Aluminized was less than 300, I want to say 265, and the stainless version was 365, not a bad price!

I am seriously looking into a gibson exhaust. I would love to hear it before I buy it, but I doubt it will sound terrible!!

kmmsmok33 Dude! Post up some freakin pics already!! we are all waiting on this!!! I would love to hear a sound clip and see the dyno sheet!!!! Hook us up bro!!!
