I found the cig adapter kit on ebay for $35 + shipping. Item # 150998845252.
As of this morning he still had 2 left. It wasn't in a factory box, but appeared to be a new item. He shipped quickly, and though I haven't had time to install it yet, it looks to be in perfect condition.

Old thread but I know how jumpy people get when an old topic is restarted. ;)
My new to me 05 has a faulty 12v, it's wiggly and doesn't always connect. The previous owner installed another one approximately where the dside seat heater switch would be in a leather car. works great but any big charger touches my side because I'm a wide load.
About to order the Smoker's Kit off ebay to install. Will give me 2 good ports up there plus a place for spare change.
Glad to have found this thread!!

Its well worth the price. This should have been in the vehicle to begin with.

I was doing a search for aux plug and came across this thread this weekend. Just installed the smokers kit and love the way it looks. You would think it came like that.

For anyone that has installed the smokers kit, how big is the storage compartment? I have the standard storage compartment with one outlet and I typically use the compartment to store my phone (iPhone 5s) while driving. Will my phone still fit in the smaller compartment on the smokers kit?

An iPhone will not fit in the small storage area on this smoker's kit. I use the area in front of the center storage bin.

I purchased my smoker's kit a few months ago and loved it. However, a few days ago, the port that's closer to the ash tray, which is the one I primarily use, is no longer working. The orange light inside is still lit but no power is coming from it. Anyone experience this?

Mine worked right up until I parted with my 4Runner.
If you have a multimeter, check the center post to the side of the socket to see if it has power. Also, check the device plug that you are trying to power with it, in another 12vdc outlet to make sure that isn't the problem.
