Cb radio

Alright so this is crazy that I can't find anything about CB Radios on t4r..so

I'm curious about installing one in my 2008 urban runner. Let's see:
Type/Brand and why that one?
cost and is the model worth it?
It's not like I'm running a massive organization so I don't need too many channels do I?
how big of an antenna outside (probably go with a magnet)?
I also have limited headroom, but I've thought of stuffing it between my seat and the center console part. Then run the wires through the door jam.
Does anyone have any pictures or suggestions?
Thanks and Happy Holidays!

OK here is a quick run down:

Cobra 75 small most compact remote unit with all controls built into the Mic popular and decent

Cobra 19 small can fit in place of the ashtray on most runners has PA function and can be tweaked for higher output.

Cobra 18 DIN size and can be mounted under a single DIN head Unit in your double DIN opening.

Uniden 510 same size as the Cobra 19 and just as nice

You are really only going to find 40 Channels CB's not becasue you can listen to all the channels but because that is factory standard. Also when out in a group you may find other people on the channel and need to move to a less popular one as an alternate.

Center of the roof is the best place however a bumper mount isnt that bad, or fender mount. One of the most important things is to get the SWR tuned.

Good breakdown.

I am personally running a Cobra 75 that is tweaked a little to run more power. As for antenna I am running a Wilson 5000 for which I have both a short load whip (36") and full length whip (62"). Most are able to get by with a Wilson lil Wil, but I like the 5000 since it uses a larger magnet base and is less likely to get knocked off by trees when I am wheeling (the Wilson 1000 also has the large magnetic base).
