Need advice on tires...

I am looking to replace my oe michelin ct's and was wondering what tires people have had good experiences with. I drive mostly on the highway and want to also have good traction in snow like the ct's and a comfortable low noise ride, but not the high price. so far i've looked at

general grabber hts
Kumho Road Venture APT KL51
Continental CrossContact LX
BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A
Michelin LTX A/T 2

i do have about 55k miles on 2, and around 15k on the other 2.. so i'm not sure if i should just buy 2 new mich ct's instead of 4 new tires.

IMHO all of your choices are good. A pair of new CT's is the least fun choice but perhaps the best based on what you've described.

If you do go for 4 put the Mich LTX M/S2 on your list.

Are you running 17's or 18's? If it's 17's and you choose to go with 4 tires consider 265/70's vs 265/65's. They are a tiny bit taller. Many members use this size on non-lifted T4R's with no issues and you have many more options for less money.

The LTX's are nice.

Maybe a TripleTred or Silent Armor would be good for you.

Im under the impression that the Long Trails suck in almost all conditions. Id avoid if I were you.
