Stock Rear Fog Light Switch Wiring Diagram

For those who have purchased the stock rear foglight switch from Japan for the 4th gen 4runner, do you know what pins are what on the switch? There are 7 pins on the back of the switch and I assume that you only need 3 of them: hot, ground, and out to the light. What would the other 4 pins be used for?

Where did you get the switch from? I would like to add a fog light switch to the blank black buttons to the left of the steering wheel.

I purchased it for arround $30, it will be more for shipping since I live close to that dealer but I don't think you will have to pay sales tax. For a 4th gen 4Runner it shoud fit in the blank spaces just left of the steering wheel.

This is the stock switch that comes on the 4runner in japan for the rear fog lights. This is the same switch that people ordered when j0mama went to Japan and picked up the trash bag and this switch. You can find a pic of it here http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...pagenumber=10. I do not have a camera so I cannot take pictures of the switch or the pins.

Did you just give Steve the part number 84165-35010 shown on the pic in the thread you attached or did you give him a description of what you want?

Does this switch light-up when depressed?

Has anyone thought of using the switch for the 115V Inverter? Or is this a stupid question/idea?

Here it is depressed:

No it dosent light up when pressed. The Japan version of the 4runner has a light in the instrument cluster that lights up telling you that the rear fog lights are on. So, im assuming that one of the output pins goes to that light and you can hook up a simple LED, or light bulb, to the pin and place the LED anywhere you want.
But, I guess no one on this board has figured out the wiring of this switch so I have no idea.

I just gave steve the part number and told him that it is on the 4runner in Japan.

If the wiring for the Japanese model is similar to the ones for the '05 Tacoma, then I may have an answer for you an a week or two. I have to wait for it to arrive and then hook up the mulit-meter.

I know this is a question that is many months latter than your original post but I have been searching for an answer you might be able to give me. I have checked with two dealers to obtain a AC 115V switch but both can't find the part number. I have showed them your picture but still nothing. Do you have the part number or does anyone else out there have the number?

Tell the dealer to look at the electrical diagram that shows switch "M2" on pg 294. The part number list on pg 390 shows "M2" as a "Main SW" with part #90980-10957.

Alexjet,
Search the forums for electrical diagrams. There is a link to a pdf file format download from Goodtimes.
