I can't believe there are no guys with 4runners that have Ham radios or CB radios installed in their trucks.

Could be that either people don't know what ham radio is, don't know that your thread title is referring to ham radio, or more likely that the audio forum doesn't seem to get much attention sometimes. I just installed a CB in my 1998 this past weekend. I don't have any pictures right now but my set up is as follows:

Cobra 18 WX ST II
Firestik II 4' antenna
Firestik mini-mount including door jamb mount and 18' fireflex coax.
Heavy duty antenna spring

I have the CB mounted right below my Alpine head unit. Together they occupy the factory double din spot really well. The door jamb mount is mounted in the jamb of the rear hatch, just below the tail light.

we're holding out for pics of the new Trail Edition

Secretly we're all coveting your new Trail Edition and it's use of the fixed mast antenna....we knew 'Yota would tire of all the power antenna issues with the 3rd gens....(we don't even consider those 4th gens....)

My local club I am somewhat loosely affiliated with is Rising Sun 4wd in Denver. We got hams of all types there...

Cruise Moab is just more than one month away. Be there! Ham away!
