Lift options with rear air suspension?

First post!!! Sorry for the newb question, search is bringing no luck.

I have a 05 limited with rear air, what do I have for options? Do you have to remove the bags and swap over to a coil setup? Are there no options?

unless you rip it out there is no options for the rear. I searched and could not find any spacers for air bags, they do exist though for other makes. You either install spacer upfront to level it up, or trash XREAS and rear air all together and with some light fabrication install new coils and shocks. Some members here done it

u can also trick the RAS by pulling the fuse. either way heres some threads on the subject. From what I've read, anything over 1.5" in the front can cause issues with the RAS. I did 1.5" and have no issues. As mentioned, there's no way to lift the rear with the commonly used products unless you do a swap to coil springs in the rear. You can keep XREAS and do the coil swap if you so choose. I didn't want to mess with this, but an alternative is adjusting the height sensors so that the rear sits higher in the normal position. By doing this, I think you can get an inch or more lift out of the rear. Here is a thread that shows how to do it. Hi, I'm new to the forum. I just picked up a 2007 Limited V8 and wanted to do a lift. I was looking into the ultimate lift from toytec. Then after reading through several posts on the forum, it can be a nightmare - not to mention pricy - to change out the rear air suspension. So alternatively, I'm thinking about installing just the Front adjustable coil over kit with Bilstein 5100's from toytec and adjusting it to ride at about a 1.5" lift. Any comments or has anyone done the same setup?

As well, what would be the biggest tire size of BFG A/T i could fit on the T4R without running into any rubbing issues. LT275/65R18??

why not get get the adjustable 5100 for the front & reuse ur springs? Bilstein , i went with the full CO myself, but this will save u money. there ia also a mod to trick the RAS in case ur interested. http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showt...air+suspension http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showt...air+suspension u can use any 32 in. tall tire, but BFG at may rub due to being somewhat squared off, but it easy to move the inner plastic fender forward & u cant reall notice it unless ur looking for it. You can do that, but you'll also need rear shocks. You have the XREAS suspension, so you can't just replace the fronts. I agree with chaz, you can do just the Bilsteins and use stock coils and it would work well. The Bilstein's are a pretty popular setup, many are pleased with them. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I did FJ springs and the 1/2" thick Toytec spacer for a total of 1.5" of lift, pics in the link in my sig if you want to see what it looks like. From there, you can choose to do more or less lift.

Thanks! For rear shocks, you'll need some very close in length to the OEM's. Good options would be KYB GR2's or stock FJ shocks (any of them). The Bilstein 5100s are longer than OEM and from what I hear can/will cause issues with the rear air suspension.

I had one of the leveling sensors replaces at the dealer awhile back, I had them recalibrate the back to sit level with the front(2 1/2 daystar lift) Looks about 1 1/2" above factory, with no change in ride, or airbag function in any of the three positions

do you know how to re-calibrate them? I have 2 1/2" front spacer which will make it sit just a little nose high, I would like to level it after install
