A few recommendations please. Here is the kind of driving I do:
Mostly city driving on normal roads
Off road occasionally on forest service roads
No towing
Driving in snow a few weeks out of the year.
Lots of rain here

it depends on whether u want all season or all terrain, & if u want aggressive looking or not,- for ATs some good ones are, goodyear wrangler with silent armor, revo's, bfg at, hankook dynapro atm, nitto terra grappler, toyo at,nokian vatiiva at, the list goes on, all season - michelin ltx or cross terrain, these are all good tires its just a matter of personal taste, if u dont want something too aggressive in looks but handles well in most weather, i think the the silent armor would be good for u and yes they have the snow flake needed for canadian winters, not all of the others mentioned do. for dedicated winter only go with one of the bridgestone blizzak tires.

Chaz hit the nail on the head, we really need more info on your goals before we can make accurate suggestions.

^^This^^ Without knowing details, sounds like an AT tire will serve you well. Go to tirerack and read the comparos, check prices and ratings...

Ok I will try to narrow it down a bit. Slightly aggressive looking, would need to be all season as I leave the same tires on all year round. Smooth ride for sure. Good puncture resistance (more plies?) had to fix twice for screw punctures. ThanKs for the feedback btw.

The Revo's would be a good choice, but it all depends on how deep your pockets are. The GY Wranger Silent Armors have gotten mostly good reviews, but if you'll read CJ3FLYR's threads on them, he had some issues with them shaking/balancing. I'm super happy with my Hankook Dynapro ATM's, IMO they have a nice aggressive look but yet ride very good for an AT tire (but then again, I don't have experience with many AT tires). I'm at about 7k miles, so time will tell how durable they are.

Probably my best suggestion to you would be Firestone Destination AT's. My dad runs them on his Tundra and Sequoia, they ride very smooth and do decent off road and on snow/ice. After several sets, we've had one blowout (no fault of the tire, it was just ran way too long and was on a gravel road) and one puncture (he ran over the sharp edge of a steel beam, not many tires would have done any better). I started to go this route, but I wanted something that looked a little more aggressive. My Hankooks ride almost as good as the Firestone's, but at the end of the day I have to admit the ride isn't the same. Since you listed ride at the top of the list, I'd give them some serious thought. The Revo's would be the "best" probably, but not everyone wants to shell out that kind of dough. The Firestone Desination AT's would be an excellent alternative.

as far as i know, u need tires with the snow flake symbol for winter driving in canada, yes? for an all season i still say michelin cross terrains , they have the snow flake, for ATs, i still say the goodyear silent armor (has snow flake) theres alot of good tires out there but not all have the winter rating even tho they perform well during it.

Not the ones that came with my 4Runner. Are all provinces requiring the snowflake now? Last I heard it was just Quebec.

huh i thought the cross terrain suv tires had it, oh well. seems like the tire laws change depending on where in BC u live, for now anyway, just people driving on mountain roads & highways need snow tires. Snow tires in BC. - Snow and Mud.com but it may spread to other parts.anyway, hey if it were me, id feel better with a tire that had the symbol, & the goodyear wrangler with silent armor is a very good all weather tire.

Btw noticed in the door jam it specifies "p" passenger tires so I guess "lt" are not necessary? Or is it better to get lt tires.

Based on your description and needs, I would also look at Goodyear Fortera TripleTred.

TripleTred has a "P" rating, performs great on the wet roadsurfaces, has a "Snow Flake" symbol, and, in my opinion, they look good on 4Runner.

That's EXACTLY what I have right now. Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread. I will stick with those.

If you haven't looked at it yet the Goodyear Duratrac's are really great everyday tire's but work very well off road as well. They even have the snowflake symbol on the side so they are considered a winter tire and won't need chains. And they work very good in the wet weather which we get a fair amount in BC.
