Grabber A/T2 vs Dakota A/T2

I need to get new tires for my 4Runner (285's) and I am looking at these 2 tires: General Grabber A/T2 and Definity Dakota A/T2.

General Grabber price installed is $785 for all 4. Pepboys is the only Dakota seller and there $157/tire + buy 3 get 1 free.

I'm leaning more towards Grabbers only because I know more about them. Anyone have any experience with either? Most of the reviews for hem both are positive.

Thanks Bob

I've heard positive things about the grabber's. Don't know about the other ones. 285's are plenty big. Your sig doesn't indicate if your lifted and "spidertrax'd", but you'll definitely need both.

StevieT4R: Lifted it 3" last weekend, just still tweaking the lift. Now I need to replace tierod ends and get it aligned. I'm going to be running stock rims for right now, will I still need spidertrax?

Thanks
Bob

I love my Grabbers. Had them a year almost and driven in snow, ice, sand, rocks, mud, street - very good tires.
I have the E load rated ones and they were stiff at 40psi, and pretty firm at 35psi

Not sure what series tire you are considering? I.e 285/70-17 will pickup .79 inches in sectional width. If you are using the stock offset of 30; then I believe you will need spacers.

I'm looking to go with 285/75/16's. Thanks everyone, I'm 99% sure i'm going with the Grabbers.

I've got the Definitys on my runner, I bought it used with 73k not sure how many mi were on the the tires when I bought it but I now have 102k and still have 3/32 left on em. If the price is the same I would prolly go with the Grabbers, I like the tread better on those.
