Put the rear FJ springs and shocks on today

Had the parts sitting in my garage for a month or so now. Got the rear shocks + springs on today. Just need to do the fronts. I drove it around the neighborhood a few times just to listen for any strange noises, there were none. I can already say I like the ride better. I will post all my numbers on ARKS compiled list for FJ swap heights, but for now all I have is the rear on so...

Before
Driver rear = 38 5/8
Pass rear = 38 1/2

After
Driver rear = 39 3/8
Pass rear = 39.0

Not sure how I gained so much on the drivers side. I double checked and everything is tight and the springs & spacers are seated correctly. Either way I am happy.

After looking at ARK's compilation, looks like Toy4RMe got .62 out of his rear coils too so I guess I'm in line with others.

That seems about right... I gained 0.69" on both sides in the rear. The rear springs are the same height so it's probably something up front throwing off your stance. Maybe your right-front is sagging a bit more than the left?

I swapped the fronts first and took it for a short drive and it felt like I had two flat rear tires!

The fronts were actually easier to swap so get 'em done! You'll love it!

Idk what the difference is but a few are getting more alot more lift on the rear. How many miles on stock suspension? What's the year and mileage on the fj springs?

If I remember right, I got almost 3/4's of an inch when I put the FJ springs on mine, seems like that is what I got in the rear and close to 1" in the front. My springs and shocks were off an 07 and had about 12000 miles on them.
