vvt-i sticker
Hi again:
I bought a very cool vvt-i badge from a guy on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33643
I know that someone mentioned that you could mount an l bracket in the space in your grill to put the sticker on but I mounted mine right to the grill...and I think it looks very cool.
I also bought a TRD sticker from the same guy on ebay.
and put it underneath the 4Runner badge on the tailgate above the Stainless exhaust cover and it looks good too. I'll paste pictures soon.

Yeah, I wanted to mount it on the grill after reading your post a while ago. However, call me non-daring or chicken, but I just wasn't able to find a pice of plastic or etc. to make me feel comfortable. Thus, I tried the direct connect meathod and I am happy with it. The white paint gives it a nice contrast and without the V8 symbol on the grill, it doesn't look that busy.

I'll have to check when i get home (If I still have the package). However, they did come in official TRD sealed packets. Had Japanese writing on them too.

I understand with the 'daring' thing. I didnt want to do anything to my 4Runner that I couldn't undo if I didnt like it. Gluing the little plastic bracket to the bottom of the divider in the grille is something that I can pull off without any evidence of it ever being there.
Also, it looks good without the V8 emblem, but for now, I'm leavin mine on...It's only 2 months old and I want people to know its a V8 *LOL*
I think the vvti emblem actually comes on some japanese toyotas...like the corolla...not 100% sure tho.
The vvt-i emblem itself is a very nice emblem...doesnt look or feel cheap at all.
btw, I also have the same TRD emblem...I'm trying to decide where I want it...I saw a pic of it on the roof rack that looked pretty good....*still thinking*

A few months ago I actually put my VVT-i emblem on the back below the 4Runner emblem. I think it looks better there IMHO.

And you can buy any of them and it will fit your 4Runner. I think that I bought one for a matrix or something. I think they just add the name so that it will come up in multiple searches.
