Help

I discovered that the 4wd actuator was actually not working due to the wire going to the 4wd ecu from the vsc off device. When I touch it to the blue/red wire the 4wd works fine but the vsc off switch just lights up the abs light on the dash. This same thing happens when no wires are tapped into the 4wd ecu. When I attach the wire to the red/blue wire on the 4wd the 4wd actuator stops working and makes everything blink. It displays multiple wrong lights on the dash includiung center diff lock vsc off and 4wd even when none of these things are true. (I tested it by seeing if I was in 4wd and cranking the wheel to full luck. Also vsc wasn't off as far as I could tell.

Sounds like if you landed on something hard enough you could have damaged the actuator in the t-case. Post up like I said in the other forum. Try to get underneath and inspect, take some photos, etc. for others to visually inspect and advise on.

To clarify, you still don't have everything working correctly with the VSC device wired per the instructions (or otherwise)? Does it look like the latest version is malfunctioning? I have the revised device sitting on the shelf waiting to be installed. Maybe I should hold off until there is confirmation it is working correctly.

I double checked all my wiring and it seems to be all good. I messed up a few wires originaly but nothing shorted and when I disconnect the wire to the 4wd ecu everything works as usual but the vsc off switch just lights up the abs light on the dash when pressed and depressed. What could be wrong? Whej the 4wd ecu wire is taped into the red/blue striped wire the 4wd actuator flashes on the dash and I can't do anything. Shift drive modes center diff lock nothing.
Thanks.

Selling my unit

Hey guys. After many attempts I was unable to successfully install my unit. I have decided to sell it. It is in good condition except I took off the blue tape covering. I am located in California and will pay shipping. Shoot me an offer.

Please check Yellow and Orange wires orientation

As a reminder. Will refund 10USD for every broken unit sent back - Thanks!
Finally got around to doing this and switching wire orientation, correct lights illuminate now (VSC off)

Now, when I go to use the unit I can still feel the a-trac kicking on even when using the mod. Is that how it supposed to operate?

Not sure if Kliv is still selling these, but if anyone is interested, I have had one for about a year now that I still haven’t installed due to other priorities, and would consider selling. I also have a brand new factory Toyota FJ switch along with the connector plug and the factory pigtail wires. Complete kit basically. Pm me if interested.
