FAQ:

Customer Service
30 Day Returns

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied in the first 30 days of receiving any of our LED lights, simply return the product and as soon as we receive it, we'll process a refund for the product price excluding shipping to your delivery address. Some of our products are offered with free shipping, so please note that if you return one of these products, our actual outbound shipping will be deducted from your return refund. Note, that this is a period for you to evaluate the lights by simply plugging them in to our harness and powering them up, they should not be installed. To qualify for this return, the lights must meet the following conditions:

Must be in original packaging and properly packaged

Must include all parts and hardware received with your original shipment

Must be unused and have no signs of usage

If items are returned without original packaging, hardware, wiring, or any other necessary parts for operation or installation, a minimum 15% restocking fee will be applied as well as any costs of damaged or missing parts. Products that have been installed or show visible use do not qualify for a return.

If you have any questions, please contact our customer service department ay (303) 990-5904 or [email protected]

Our Limited Lifetime Warranty
We are so confident in the quality of our products that we provide a lifetime warranty to protect against manufacturing defects. Continue reading for details on our limited lifetime warranty.

Our products that say "Lifetime Warranty" in the product description are covered from manufacturer defects, impacting the function of the light, for the life of the original purchaser. The products that carry this warranty are typically all of our lights and some other accessories (but not all). This warranty does NOT cover cosmetic damages, disassembly, unauthorized repair or attempt, or damage due to abusive use. Simply contact us and we'll arrange to either fix or replace the light, if available, or we will credit you toward your next purchase if the lights are no longer carried.

Free shipping
Yes! All of our Light Bars and added accessories come with free* shipping (for orders over $50) and returns when returning under our warranty (specified above).

*Free shipping and returns is for ship to or return addresses that are in the lower 48 US states, otherwise, you will be provided with shipping costs at checkout.

Why Don't We Include a Wiring Harness with Any of Our Lights?
We get this question a lot. The main reason is that we don't know if you really need one, and if you do, we don't know which one(s) you want. Let me explain.

Many folks already have some exisitng wiring that they are taping into on their vehicle, so they'd be paying for the harness via an increased price in the light, yet not need it.

Or what if you are buying 2 lights. Do you want to control both on the same switch? If yes, then you'd need 1 of our 2 light harnesses, not 2 of our single light harnesses.

We don't want to have to increase the price of all our lights to cover including a wiring harness in every light, and we don't want you to have to pay more for something you don't need. So we figure it is better to keep our prices low and let you decide what you want and only pay for it if you truly want or need it.

Technical Terms
Lumens vs Watts, which is more important?

Lumens is a way to scientifically measure visible light, the brightness of a light. Watts is a measurement of the amount of electricity that a lighting device requires to produce that light. Our LED Light Bars are the brightest on the market for a given watt of input and most importantly, for the price you pay.

Traditionally, we have been trained to think of how bright a bulb is by its Watt rating. For example, a 100 watt bulb is brighter than a 60 watt bulb. This has been true when using a standard incandescent type bulb. But incandescent technology is very inefficient and much of those watts are converted into heat energy instead of light. If you've every tried to unscrew a light bulb that has just been on, you would have experienced this heat production first hand.

With the advent of new lighting technologies like CFL (compact fluorescent) and LEDs, light production has gotten much more efficient. Much more of the energy input (Watts) goes toward producing light output (lumens). CFLs and LEDs don't get that hot when compared to an incandescent light bulb. And a 15w CFL puts out the same light (800 lumens) as a 60w incandescent light bulb. A way to compare apples to apples when measuring this efficiency is by looking at the amount of lumens a lighting device produces for a given watt of energy input. Our LED Light Bars are 6+ times more efficient than a standard incandescent light bulb.

What's a CREE LED Anyway?
CREE is the leading LED innovation think tank that is continually pushing the envelope in LED to create more lumens per watt. The result is the brightest LED's on the market that will turn that dark forest or country road into your midnight playground. Find out more about Cree Inc.

What is Amp Draw?
Amp draw is the amount of current of electricity required to power the lights. The greater the amp draw, the faster your battery will run down when you are not running the engine. When you are running the engine, if your total vehicle amp draw is greater than what your alternator puts out, your battery will continue to discharge instead of charge. But in most cases, this is not a concern as your stock alternator can handle adding a few light bars without issue, unless you are running a lot of extra electrical components (like large audio amplifiers, etc) . For example, a Jeep Wrangler TJ alternator puts out about 110 amps, plenty to handle an additional 2.5 amps from our 6" light bar and even 16.6 amps for our 40" light bar. If you have any questions, contact us.

What does IP67 mean?
This is a standardized way to measure solid particle (the first number (6)) and liquid (the second number (7)) penetration resistance. In this case, 6 is the highest level for solid particle resistance meaning that the unit is dust tight. 7 is the second highest level, but considering these aren't meant for submarines, it is the highest practical level you should pay for and means these lights can stand to be submerged below 3.2 feet of water for 30 minutes without damage. That should definitely get you across that stream! (wikipedia)

What is meant by "Beam Pattern"?
With beam patterns, there is a trade-off between width and distance. In order of furthest to widest, our beam patterns are Spot Beam (8°- 12°), Flood Beam (30°- 90°), Combo Beam (both Spot and Flood effects)and Scene Beam (120°).

In many cases we provide combo beams as they provide the most versatility for a standard install. In some cases we don't offer different pattern options as the lights are designed for the most common use cases.

When you are attempting to address specific needs, the beam pattern can become more important, for greater light intensity further away go with spot but for closer applications go with flood or scene lights.

Feel free to email or call if you have any questions regarding what would work best for your situation.

Why are there different colors of lights?
White light provides the best visibility in clear conditions. However, when navigating through particles such as dust, snow, fog or rain, white light reflects more than amber off of these particles and greatly reduces the distance illuminated. Amber lights will penetrate these particles better with less reflection.

We also provide color options to meet the design/look you want for your vehicle.

Installation
Test that the light bar is working by connecting to a battery, red to positive, black to negative. Connect the light to the wiring harness (if you've purchased one of our harnesses, the connection on the harness should match your light). If it does not, you may have purchased the wrong harness. All lights are tested prior to sending, this is to make sure all details are clear prior to the install.
Disconnect the light from the battery and start install.
Run the connection to the light.
If installing switches, run the switches through the firewall to the desired location.
Connect the wiring harness back to the battery. That's it!
