I want to see.......

A 4dr FJ come out , more room and more back seat access .

Should compete with Xterra , H3 , Rubicon 4dr .

And make it more streetable and less off roadable? I don't think a 4 door version would work (too much restructure and lengthening would occur) and just seems like the path that the 4runner has taken catering to the soccer mom crowd more than it's initial buyers of yesteryear.

Well if the want the competitions market , which of still very off road capable like the ones I mentioned.

My 4th gen. is no soccer mom truck , as a matter of fact , it a soccer sons truck..... I pick up my 70 y/o mother from soccer practice everyday.....lol

Granted the 4th gen. is no 3rd gen. ( my personal favorite) but sure can hold it own extremely well compared to others on its class and price range. A true truck IMO with a nice fully boxed frame. Not many of those left out there.

I but one will come out someday

To be honest, if i was in the market right now, then i would get the new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. But, i would definitely wait a few years to check reliability and also to see if Jeep will put a diesel in it (see Jeep GC).

I think that Toyota will not go the 4-door route...hell, they have not even put a sunroof in it!

Yep, pretty much the reason I'm buying a 4runner. Was going to get the FJ but rear access sucks and no flat cargo area.
