T4R.ORG Offroad Trip 3/31/07 Citrus Tract of Withlacoochee Forest

Post up if you want to go, seems to be three people including myself interested so far. Citrus is slightly technical, not too much mud, some interesting places to play. Lots of articulation area's. Camping available.

well you know I am coming, and I am camping. There are also caves and mountain biking trails in the area.

I am interested. I have 2wd so I may need some haul outs, if noone minds, but I want to get my runner off road to see what a 2wd can do.

I am also 2wd, but GatorGreg and RunnerUp were nice enough to help me out last time.

Cool, I already have a recovery strap, just need to get some shackles. Looking forward to it. Any idea on where we can meet? There is a Lowes on the north side off of SR 44 near an entrance, but I am not sure what would be convenient to every one else.

i dont mind pulling you out a couple times, just remember that the one that gets stuck gets to hook up the straps or the winch cable! as far as a meeting place goes, there is a burger king on the west side of the interstate (75) on the south side of SR 50. if we meet there than we are much closer to the location to wheel. i might be camping also, but im not sure yet.

I'm 90% there if your don't mind another 2wd. Shouldn't have a problem getting out of work.

I have a tow rope to contribute.

Don't know about camping.

I have no problems with that. Any other items you would recommend I bring with me for the 'just in case'? I am looking forward to getting my 'Runner off road where it belongs.

there is no address of the place that i am aware of, but from atlanta you prob have abt a 7hr drive to get to where we are gonna be at. and to be quite honest with you, i wouldnt drive that far to go to this place, if you drove 7 hrs north you would be at tellico, which is far better than this place we are going to. if you do want to go though, the intersection that you could google would be I-75 and SR-50

Meet sounds good to me. I live in Winter Garden an d it's less than an hour trip for me. If it's definite for 3/31 me and 2 buddies will probably be there. I have a friend with an '89 Landcruiser FJ62 and another with an '06 Jeep Rubicon. My 4runner is '04 2wd, but I, too am willing to give it a try and get a little dirty.

Hey that would be great to have an old TLC there.

What time does everyone want to meet at the BK? Is 10:30 good?
