April Georgia Traverse trip

So April 1st-4th I'm going to North Georgia to camp and off road. Ill be following along the Georgia Traverse. Does anyone want to go with me? Ill be leaving super early on the 1st and coming back really late on the 4th, or super early on the 5th. I live in The Tampa Bay area, and plan on leaving about 5 A.M. I should be in Walhalla, SC By about 3 and hope to be able to make it to Tallulah River Camp ground the first night. After that its pretty much up in the air.

Just saw this... I'm in the same area... I'd be open to discussing a trip in the fall... Sound interesting?

I would be, but it’s gonna be hard for me to get another week until next spring I think. I’m doing 3 weeks in June. Towards the end of summer make a post in here and I can see if I can make it happen though.

How did the Traverse go? Was it pretty amazing? Did you stick to the way points indicated on the Georgia Traverse website? I'd love to see some pictures...

I'm not on FB, deleted it years ago with the ever changing violation of privacy slow-creep... glad your trip went well. I'd love to try the Traverse and take it slowly, maybe over a full week & weekends... I don't have a winch on my truck so I'm not sure how critical that is... probably in the column of 'when you need it, you REALLY need it' I'd guess... My wife and youngest kid are reluctant, so I may enjoy myself more just me & my oldest kid...

I made the photos public, so they should be viewable without an account. This was my second trip and I haven’t needed a winch ether time. The first time I went with another 4R that I met through a Facebook group. This trip I was planning on going by myself, but a buddy of mine plans changed and he was able to go. My wife and kids are pretty mum about wheeling with me so I usually go alone.
