2003 Jetta TDI

I had picked this up as a donor for a swap and it never materialized.
runs well
transmission shifts fine
interior is decent
I never had it on the road but did drive it around the neighborhood to keep everything moving.

needs:
tires
front struts
trunk latch/switch

I'll post up some pics in the morning, make an offer.
located Virginia 23140

@D'arce sad to see this engine not in your runner, but I understand things don't always work out. Hope all is well, bud.

Somebody buy this thing. The interior is NICE.

@D'arce @Greyhome

what's the allure to the TDI swap?... is it more powerful or reliable over the 5zv-fe?

Hey thanks man, yeah somebody bought it. Hope your doing well, haven't heard from you in a bit!

The TDI swap is in my opinion too complicated with not enough support, other than being able to buy an adapter plate. After doing the research I am more inclined to go the OM617 route through Doomsday Diesel. Looks to have more support and a lot of kinks worked out of the process.

My truck has the 3rz-fe and at 265k it won't last forever. So yes more power and F/E over the 3rz.
