4.30 e-locker pumpkin SO CA

I have for sale a toyota 8" electronic locking rear third member - also known as the "e-locker" -
It was removed from a running vehicle and is in good working (used) condition.
Has factor 4.30 Gears
includes the motor assembly but no wiring
This is a spare I originally purchased for my 4runner but ended up going with 4.10s instead

$750 OBO - need it gone

does this fit a 4th gen? and would that gearing be good for 33's?

I believe the flange is different between the generations but it is swappable. The gear ratio being "good with 33s" is up to the owner's opinion. I run 32s on my 4Runner and I like cruising at lower RPMs which is why I stuck with 4.10s.

The 4.30s would be a good street gear IMO but probably not as aggressive as some would want for a offroad rig.

It would really help you if you had a video to show it working. A lot of people don't want to gamble with these things anymore. Plus, the elocker really has gotten less popular over the years. Add all that and the fact that whoever bought this would have to source a bare elocker housing, and you've got yourself a difficult sell.

Upload a video of it working and add a $300 price tag on it and I bet it will go quicker. Bad time of the year for people to be spending money on their trucks, too. Be patient

Would you not be able to just swap this into a non-elocker carrier?

The non-elocker and elocker diffs are different. You cannot put an elocker diff into a non-elocker housing without modifying/retrofitting it. Additionally, you cannot put a non-elocker diff into a elocker housing b/c the stud pattern is different and the notch would cause issues. Pictures show a non-elocker diff with an elocker diff gasket for pattern comparison.
