FS 4th gen, Bilstein resi shocks & Deaver rear springs $200, Torrance CA-
I bought these rear components as part of a complete suspension upgrade matched with Donahoe (now Icon) coilovers in 2006. Removed 2019 with approx. 93,500 on them. Both installed and removed by Demello Offroad in Corona CA.
Includes:
1. Two Bilstein 7100 shocks (remote resi shocks) with "05 valving" & stem-to-eye conversion, Part # B-7100-05, per Demello's invoice, plus mounting brackets and hardware pictured. New these are about $200 each, not inc. stem-to-eye conversion parts.
2. Two Deaver rear springs for 4th gen 4Runner, new these provided 2-3” lift and were 30% firmer than stock springs. I think I paid $175-200 new for the set.
The shocks have not been rebuilt nor recharged during the 93.5k miles that I put on them. Most mileage was on asphalt. My off-road mileage on them is probably below 300-400 miles of mostly graded desert roads below 30-40 MPH. That said, I’m guessing they need complete take-apart and rebuild. One of them appears to have obvious leak and is not extending under its own pressure. I don't know to what degree it needs repair so it's my opinion these are not vehicle-ready in their current condition and should be assessed by a competent professional.
Bilstein can most likely rebuild theses as they are serviceable/rebuildable. A good indy mechanic who has shock rebuilding experience might be able to do it as well, or maybe even you can if you’ve got the skills and tools.
These parts new would cost about $575-600 pre-tax. I'm asking $200.
Cash only you pick up in Redondo Beach CA. Could be a good deal if you have the skills and tools, or have access to a good suspension guy who can rebuild them.
