I'm a straight shooter so I'll give you a more honest answer than you probably want to hear. I don't know and I don't have any proof.
I think my price reflects that, the valve body upgrade would cost more than this entire transmission. I can tell you that personally, I spent $700 on a stock transmission from a junk yard when I had to swap mine and spent nearly $400 replacing the torque converter and front pump in that one when it decided to puke. For $500 you are getting a transmission with the upgrade valve body that came out of a running and driving vehicle.
I can tell you this, the truck belonged to a former forum member and was sold on this or another 4runner forum to a guy out of state. That is the guy that added the supercharger and valvebody to the transmission.
I did my research on the guy I bought the wrecked truck from before driving 12 hours round trip and buying something I couldn't hear run, etc. I felt comfortable doing that. He'd been on Ultimate Adventure, on the cover of Peterson's magazine, etc, sold other high profile vehicles on other forums. The guy was a total gearhead and everything that I saw that he owned was modded and modded the right way. This 4runner was a toy for them and by FAR the least expensive vehicle they owned. I actually found the vehicle when I came across his for sale add for the supercharger on Pirate4x4.
I'm confident it's got the upgraded valve body in the transmission and you are welcome to come and look at it and you can even pull the pan off of the transmission if you want. The ONLY reason this transmission is for sale is because of the differences between it and my 2001. Otherwise it would be sitting in the garage waiting for when my 2001 needs its next transmission (I'm at 260k miles).
