OFFICIAL LED Light Bar group buy - Vivid Illumination

PLEASE READ ENTIRE OP BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS

GB WILL BE CLOSING AUGUST 10

Also when ordering please pm me your name, address, phone #, and paypal info as well as bar desired and beam pattern. I will almost always recommend spot as even they have a bit of flood light by default due to shallow reflectors.

Okay I am now ready to open up the group buy! I will likely keep it open for a couple weeks before I close it and place the orders. By some chance that I get 20 orders of one type of bar I will place that order sooner. When the GB is closed please expect up to 2 weeks for delivery as they will be built to order! If you have any questions please contact me.

*Background info from other thread*
I have started up a small business focusing on lighting products, and for now that is LED light bars. The bars that I have access to are similar in looks to what is out there now, but with a few extra perks in terms of reliability. I have just gotten some new contacts overseas and have taken a couple orders from them now and things have gone well thus far. I figure there might be some interest here in that. I am working with David on getting set up as a sponsor if it appears that there is some desire for lighting products here. I am a very active member on Tacomaworld and have a good community record over there.
  • Only CREE bulbs are used
  • Polycarbonate Lenses
  • 5 Year manufacturer warranty
  • IP68 Rating FULL Water/Dustproof (unless otherwise noted)
  • This company I am working with is the OEM for one of the major names... To help ease your mind a little bit

For the sizes, I am going to list them as their ACTUAL LENGTH which includes the additional bulk added by the housing itself. It might make it a little more difficult for reporting purposes, but it will be helpful for those of you looking to fit it the bar a certain location. Lumen outputs are provided, but effective lumens will be somewhat dictated by the type of beam pattern you choose with spot being best able to utilize the light.

All prices listed are SHIPPED prices and will include a wiring harness unless you indicate that you don't want one. Lights will be available as spot (10 degree)/flood(40 degree)/combo patterns. If we do get 20 orders for a particular length of bar I will take 5% off of your order. If you order 2+ bars I will take 5% off of your total. Discounts will stack.

Double row bars now being offered with 5w LEDs. Check out the lumen outputs!

The available straight double row lights are available in a variety of sizes (length x 3.15"deep x 3.15"tall) :
  • 7.5" - $85 (now $83) 4800lm
  • 20" - $220 (now $215) 16000lm
  • 31.5" - $300 (now $294) 24000lm
  • 50" - $450 (now $441) 38400lm

Curved Double Row Bars are also available in:
  • 41.5" - $475 (now $465) 32000lm
  • 50" - $525 (now $514) 38400lm

We will have to see how everything shakes down, but I would likely have to get an order for at least 3-4 of each size before I could justify ordering that size. We will cross that bridge when we get there, but I would really like to get everyone exactly what they want.

I will be building a list which will contain usernames and what they are ordering. When ordering please pm me your name, address, phone #, and paypal info. Post up in here as well though to keep this thread on the top! I will not be sending out any invoices until the end of the GB, or if I get orders for a particular length of 20 units I will send them out sooner to those affected.

Example of one of the 30" Double rows that I have 3w. THE BARS IN THIS GB WILL BE 5W. Please excuse my utter lack of editing skills, but here is a short video I made of this particular bar.

I just noticed that the lumens are much higher on the single row, is that a mistype?

I am guessing there are a lot of people that saw the fiasco that happened about a year ago where several members on T4R.ORG and TW got screwed out of a lot of money. It was a similar situation where somebody joined T4R and tried to pull a gb together right off the bat without really establishing themselves. After all that i would only buy from a long time member or just get them cheaper off ebay.

Nope! The single row bars utilize 10w LEDs whereas the double row ones use 3w. People seem to like the look of the double rows, but I prefer the single row bar myself. The overall housing is pretty much he same size, but the optics will be a little better and the overall outputs are higher.

That is what I was afraid of... I have been around long enough to know all about the Trek lights fiasco as I have been on TW for years. I am trying to establish myself as someone who will be around for the members well after the sale, hence the reason for providing an actual IP68 rated product as well as a 5 year warranty. It's hard to get started and I figured a GB would help get the name out a little bit and allow me to carry some inventory for members for quicker turn around time in the future.

I can fully understand where you are coming from though. If this completely falls on its face then so be it I guess. That's just how it goes sometimes. Business is business. I won't be giving up just yet either way.

ALRIGHT *****ES I have got some news for you! I was going to hold out on this little bit of info, but since you all decided to drag your feet I figure I might as well let you know now. The bars in this GB will be utilizing 5w LEDs instead of the standard 3w! What that amounts to is 400lm/led instead of 250lm for a standard 3w setup. I am not going to say what the number is, but I have to hit a certain amount of LEDs to even place an order so the time to get in is now. I haven't decided what I am going to do after the GB, but for this group buy prices for the 5w will remain the same as those advertised for the 3w bars. I'm maintaining the prices so that I can get enough LEDs ordered. Compare the numbers to well... anyone else and you will see that these bars will throw down some serious light. New lumen values updated in the OP. Still carrying a 5 year manufacturer warranty and IP68 waterproof/dustproof rating (most others are IP67 at best).

You know you want in, just do it!

I too was afraid of this, but after doing some research on TW, I found you as a legit user. nobody that has 12k posts on a car forum would try to hustle fellow users.
memario1214's JAFR Build - Tacoma World Forums

All signs are pointing to this being a legit group buy.

HOWEVER, as a user here, there's still a slight chance you may just be using the TW username as a "front" and using the rep of the TW user.

For all you T4R users here that are still interested in the group buy, it would be safer for everyone involved to just create a TW account and deal with this guy directly on TW and report back here if it's a legit group buy! everybody wins this way, seller gets more business, buyer gets a bit more sense of a security in their purchase

Haha oh god, I feel bad for the guy trying to impersonate me. I do appreciate the vote of confidence. However, I can certainly understand the concern. I am in fact the same guy. If you check the tacomaworld.com homepage on the right side you will see a link for the GB. The moderation staff has enough trust in me to put my GB on the home page. If you click on it I will post up a shoutout to the T4R users on the first post. That way you can at least be assured that I am the same dude.

This is the same GB, but I am combining the forums to see if I can get the best discounts possible for the buy. I was directed over here by another T4R member actually. I certainly have no interest in hustling anyone. To make it easy, here is the link for the TW GB if anyone is questioning the legitimacy.

Hopefully we can get some T4R guys in on it. I save all of the info the same in a spreadsheet, so I figured it would save the hassle of making another profile. Once I get a few more in I will update the list over here as well so that all are able to see how many people are in.

Disregard, I see you updated the original text. I'll be a guinea pig. Put me down for a 20" double row bar.
