SOLD!
I'm trying to get together some money early Saturday morning for a purchase. I am selling my brand-new, never-installed ARB front bumper for $695 to try and get the cash together that I need in between paychecks. This bumper has been sitting in my apartment since February 2014. I bought it when these bumpers were on back order from Australia - you could not find them anywhere and the prices were higher than they are now. I bought mine from Autoplicity.
I still plan to install an ARB at some point, so I will be buying another one down the road. In my opinion this is one of the best-looking plate bumpers available for our 4Runners and the build quality and testing behind them is top notch.
This is priced for pick-up in Bryan-College Station or I can drive about an hour and a half in any direction to meet you (Houston, Waco, and Austin are cities where I can meet you). I can hold this bumper for someone as long as you need me to, but if you need an ARB bumper shipped I would just buy one online - most sellers have free shipping.
As always no dibs, posts, PMs or holds to get this bumper.
The first person to PayPal me the $695 gets the bumper. Please don't forget to send to a friend or add 3% so that I still receive $695. The going price for these is $866 on the internet up to $913. Call or text me at 979-574-2070. Don't worry about waking me up since I am trying to make a purchase early Saturday morning - the earlier I sell this the better. Obviously this is priced for an extremely quick sale. I never planned on selling this bumper before I got it installed, but I have a rare opportunity that I want to take advantage of today.
Thanks,
Greg
The pictures and text below are from my build thread post from February 2, 2014...
The SURF RUNNER Build: 2001 Stellar Blue Limited 4WD The bumper is still sitting in the same exact place in my apartment where I unboxed it in the photos below.
On Friday my ARB bumper arrived. I purchased this new bumper for $980.86 shipped. I had a difficult time finding one, so I'm relieved to have it in my possession. Here is the thread about the extremely limited availability of these bumpers...
ARB Taco Bumpers on Back Order - Any ideas on how to find one in Texas? I had the ARB bumper shipped to work since I knew if I had it shipped to my home address I probably wouldn't be there to receive it.
The Fedex truck dropped off a box on a pallet that was twice as big as I was expecting. The shipping weight was 220 pounds. You can barely see my 4Runner behind the mailbox kiosk.
After I opened the box there was a lot of empty space. The box had these laminated cardboard reinforcements on the edges, so the bumper was very well protected.
The bumper barely fit in my 4Runner.
I cut two holes in the packaging so that I could grab the bar to unload the bumper and bring it inside. This is the only way I could have done this by myself.
After cutting and wrestlng with the packing materials for about 10 minutes an ARB bumper begins to emerge.
Here is everything that comes in the accessory box. By the way everything was sealed, packed and labeled I could tell that this bumper had never even been opened since it was originally shipped from Australia. I was considering used ARBs, but now I'm glad that I found a new one.
So far my expectations for this bumper have been exceeded. The quality and workmanship is top notch. I had not seen one of these in person, so I had no idea how beefy this bumper was. The bull bars are much larger in diameter than I thought they would be. I have an average size hand... when I wrap my hand around the bull bar my thumb and middle finder only overlap by about 1/4". On the ends the bull bar goes through the plate and is welded to the inside of the bumpers below the turn signal cutouts. The triangular supports also continue behind the front plate. Everything seems to be very well thought out on this bumper. Even the small rubber "bumperettes" look great.
