SOLD!
I removed my rear spoiler this afternoon and am listing it for sale. I think that Toyota did a nice job designing the rear spoiler, but I just like a cleaner, more streamlined look - the same reason I removed my window screens, hood deflector, and sunroof wind screen. I've done a little research and some 4Runner owners claim that the rear wind deflector keeps the rear window/hatch cleaner and helps to stop exhaust fumes from entering the rear window when it is down when driving at slow speeds.
These are not hard to find in salvage yards, but usually the guys at the salvage yard do not want you to separate the spoiler from the rear hatch. You can see how the area looks after the spoiler is removed in the second photo. A nice working hatch can sell for big bucks, but maybe not if there are 6 holes at the top.
As you can see everything is included except for the metal machine screw sleeves (or whatever these are called) that are glued in the holes on the hatch. With the spoiler you get the 10 manchine screws pictured, the mounting brackets, and the plastic/rubber gasket/film on the back of the mounting brackets. The price is $49 plus $20 shipping for a total of $69.
If interested please call or text me at 979-574-2070. As always, not PMs, posts, holds or dibs to get these parts - the first person to contact me and PayPal the money gets the item. Please send to a friend or add 3% so that I still receive $69.
Thanks,
Greg
