3rd Gen Retrofits
Looking to knock out a few retrofits this summer while I'm out of classes.
I'll list the parts and prices for the CHEAPEST set I can possibly do. Please do not post that you're interested unless you're happy with this price.
Projector Kit: $315
BI-XENON MORIMOTO MINI STAGE III (D2S) Projector
Morimoto XB Igniter
Morimoto XB35 Ballasts
Morimoto XB 4500K Bulbs
Shrouds can be discussed, but I highly recommend the "Bullet" for a clean, factory"ish" look.. You can look at all the shrouds here.
Headlight Housing: ~$80 (The last five sets I have ordered have ranged from $76.03 - $80.52. I'll do my best to get them as cheap as possible.)
TYC 99-02 Style Housings from RockAuto. I don't know how to link from RockAuto, but these are the only aftermarket housings I'll use. I've used a couple others in the past and these seem, to me, to be far superior.
Price for me to do a retrofit for you, using these components: $535 +shipping (Usually around $50- if it's higher, I'll pay the difference, if it's lower, I'll refund the difference. I won't ship over borders or oceans unless you're paying for it in total.)
At this time I have no intention of offering a painted option. However, if you want them painted and I have no other sets in line, I'll do it. The price will be $100 and you MUST tell me the exact paint and color you want used. I'll pay for the paint, unless it's something crazy expensive.
Unfortunately I didn't plan on ever doing this again, so I deleted 90% of my pictures. I was able to find a couple of them here on the forum:
Here's a picture of how they'll look with the Bullet shrouds. Note how deep the shroud is, and therefore how much of the projector body it covers. Very clean look.
And a picture of them in the wild...

Essentially it's plug and play. All you have to do is plug stuff in where it says to be plugged into, and attach a couple ground wires to bolts.

I wish I could. Unfortunately I'm in the sticky situation were I can't spend money on the runner because I'm saving for a wedding; but if I were to spend money on the runner, I wouldn't have to save for the wedding anymore
Good luck!

Glad to see you're doing this again. Did you figure out your shipping problems

More or less. Essentially I need to pay a bit more for shipping in order to be sure they're properly insured, and I need to stop offering the service on used headlights. When shipping in the TYC boxes, everything seems to be fine.

Let me know, Matt. Strange how little interest I am getting on this thread. Before I was getting messages by the dozen!

Just a little FYI
I had purchased a set of these lights and was very pleased with the build. And yes everything is plug and play, ballast and all.
The only hard thing to explain and pictures don't give it justice is the light output, its amazing when compared to stock headlamps. The cutoff is clean and mine still have a purple/blue hue to them. Matter of fact just the other night while driving down a freshly paved road I noticed the white reflectors shining purple the furthest out then blue about half way out then bright white nearest to me.
Anyone on the edge of buying these I say go for it! The price is good and even though they are plug and play, it's still very time consuming and great care needs to be had while removing the old parts and installing the new

I'm pretty interested in something like this - how quick can I expect to have them after order? Any more pics of them in use/up close? Thanks!

I will order parts as soon as I can after payment is received. Typically within minutes. After that, I just have to wait on parts to show up, which is typically a week.
I try my hardest to get the retrofit done the same day as I receive the parts. However, if the packages are delivered at 8pm, it won't happen. Unless something crazy is going on, they'll get done the next day.
I would say the average turn around from when you Paypal me the funds to the day I ship them back out to you would be around 10 days. If it takes 14 or more, something isn't right.
As I said in my first post, I unfortunately deleted most of my pictures of the lights I did. I didn't plan on ever doing this again, so I didn't see the point in keeping them around. I'll try to find some in old posts.

I will say the same thing too. I bought a pair from Wilson as well and it is night turned to day difference. Stand up guy to do business with as well. All plug and play except 1- 12 volt wire to battery and a ground wire. Everything else plugs right up.
