I'd sure like to put some lockers on my truck. It is probably out of my relm of wrenching ability. It looks like you have the wiring for it. I've been in a few situations where without the lockers I had to turn around. What did you get to replace your truck?

its actually really not difficult to install. thats why i went with the complete axle vs a 3rd retrofit. it should really just bolt up (and need new fluid and brakes)

I got a 2014 TE and dear lord, this thing is the most capable offroad vehicle ive ever owned. I thought the traction control modes would be a joke when i got it, i just wanted the factory locker and a few other things. turns out, in a pinch theyre actually pretty capable.

The new one looks really great! I got into some steep loose dirt situations in Utah and just had the tires ever so slowly spinning even in 4 low and just barely moving. The hills were so high I couldn't really keep momentum all the way up unless I got a running start going 50+ mph, and that wouldn't be safe. I know a locker would have helped me there. So there is a rear locker which locks the rear tires and is there also a locker to lock the front to the rear?

you can lock up both the front and rear, yes. there are plenty of options for it.

for me, i thought fully locking the front was a little dangerous (and expensive)
i didnt want to start shredding cv axles if i ever got the thing really buried. the limited slip i picked out for the front seemed to be a good compromise, though some people would warn against it. i wish i had been able to install and test the eaton truetrac but it just never worked out that way. coming from my 14 tacoma offroad, i knew what a difference a rear locker made... i was actually shocked to learn the 3rd gen 4runner didnt even have a limited slip in the rear! i took it a few places i wouldnt have had i known i was running open difs. miss that truck but my 14 TE is just tits.

i highly recommend installing at least a rear locker if youre going to be getting yourself into some fun stuff. open difs suck!

if you want that stock look for future resale or just to have that stock look, feel free to come take this axle off my hands

Might be interested in the ECU alone if you start breaking things up. Thanks.

ive also got someone only interested in the harness, if the axle goes by itself, youll be first in line for the ecu.
