FS: Reno, NV 1999 3.4 5VZE and Automatic transmission $350 (Part out)
Doing an auto to manual/2wd to 4wd swap and I have a donor vehicle with a good engine, so il be pulling out the engine and trans as one unit. California vehicle with essentially no rust. Has 300k on both engine and transmission, not sure if it was rebuilt at any point. Drove it 200 miles with no issues except:
Misfire 1-2-3. Definitely has a lack of power, suspect coil packs/spark plug issue. Im going to troubleshoot it before pulling to ensure that this is the issue. I do not want to purchase 3 new coils, as Im simply trying to sell the motor-but I will be swapping coils around to try and get the issue to replicate and ensure this is the issue. I also have a compression tester and will be testing compression prior to removing. Currently has a tear in the intake boot which is temp repaired as you can see from the photos. It will need to be replaced if you wish to take more than just the engine and trans. I can also sell all related components for a swap into another toyota for some extra cash on your end (ECU, wire harness, MAF, intake, whatever else may be needed) although it is from a 2wd automatic as I mentioned, so not sure how desirable this would be.
Timing belt/water pump was done recently per previous owner (I believe in the last 20k)
Id like for someone to come by before I pull it if they are interested so they know that it starts, runs, and shifts well.
I will also have assorted interior parts, exterior parts, accessories, etc from whatever is left from my swap.
I am not looking for a lot of money because I understand it has a lot of miles. I hope the price seems fair, and if not-I will adjust accordingly. Willing to discount price substantially if anyone would like to assist in pulling the motor. I have the tools and time, but its always nice to have another set of hands!
