Hey everyone,
FYI - I originally posted this on TacomaWorld, but thought I would crosspost here as well as I used to have a 4Runner and was somewhat active in this forum as well.
HERE
I picked up some remote start equipment not too long ago when I lived in Denver area. Initially, I was planning to install the equipment for this winter, but a move put me in the South where the winters are extremely mild and I would like to divert the funds elsewhere. I purchased Compustar equipment for my own use, therefore, it can be trusted as top of the line materials. Considering that I was planning on installing myself, this is everything you will need with the exception of the remote. I sold the remote to a friend that was looking to upgrade his system to a 2 way remote. (This DOES include the weblink USB cord that you need to flash the blade-al and Compustar Brain)
I would love to sell everything all together, but if the price is right, I can part it out. All together, I'll do $140 + Shipping. Everything else is priced individually, just figure a couple bucks for shipping.
$75 - Compustar FT-7000AS-CONT - This is the brain for the remote start system. It includes all the necessary wiring harnesses, hood pin, siren, DAS sensor, installer manual, etc. (That is everything that came with the original packaging.)
Package
This is the Brain with the Blade-AL installed.
Hood Pin and wiring harness
$35 - iDatalink ADS-USB Weblink Updater Flash loader USB Cable - This cable is/was needed to flash the brain/Blade-AL with specific programming for your vehicle. Since I initially was planning on installing in my 3rd Gen Push to Start, it is currently flashed for that vehicle. It would need to be reprogrammed for 4Runners, but can easily be achieved. There are also auxiliary functions and specifics that you can program, but you will need this usb cable to do so.
$50 - Idatalink Compustar BLADE-AL (Preprogrammed for Tacoma) - This is a cartridge that is needed to program the immobilizing function as well as the door locking function for your specific vehicle. Would need to be reprogrammed from Tacoma to 4Runner, but not hard.
