Retrofitted 5th Gen Headlights, $750 - Pittsburgh, PA
For sale is a complete retrofitted set of headlights for the 2014-2020 4Runner. I excluded 2021 as I do not know if the wiring changed at all with the LED headlights. Asking $550 + shipping but am open to offers.
This retrofit was done using a set of Lexus IS-350 Bi-Xenon projectors with clear STI lenses. These projectors were chosen since they are a side entry projector and still allow use of the side entry cap of the stock headlight assemblies. The headlight assemblies used were brand new aftermarket assemblies.
Included for sale are the retrofitted headlight housings, ACME SpeedyStart ballasts, H11 wiring harness, Morimoto D2S 5000K bulbs, high beam pig tails as well as duct caps for the housings. Basically, everything you will need to be a complete plug and play swap. The only items missing are the high beam bulbs as well as turn signal bulbs.
The assemblies are wired so that both the halogen high beam and HID high beam of the projector work in unison (photo attached). You will need to either disable or not use the DRL high beam with this set up as you could damage the high beam solenoids in the projectors.
I did this retrofit myself earlier this year, so it is not professionally done and sold as is, although this is not my first retrofit. Nonetheless, this retrofit is a huge upgrade as far as light output goes and is significantly better than the stock halogen bulbs and even when using HID in the stock headlights. The photos do not do it justice. As you can see from the pics, there is a little bit of flare at the ends of the cut off. The actual cut offs are level, but the flare makes it look otherwise. I do not know if this is caused by the non-OEM bulbs or the clear lenses, but it did not bother me.
I am selling this as I traded in my 4Runner for something larger for the growing family. I am willing to answer any questions about the initial set up of the assemblies.
I am willing to ship but local pick up is also available.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
