Hello I am selling a 1997 4runner with 173xxx miles. I bought it for my girlfriend but she says is too big for her and wants a smaller car.
The Good:
-Almost new tires with lots of tread.
-Paint is a 8/10 with only a small surface rust spot over the passenger rear fender (can be seen in the third picture).
-Leather interior in great shape.
-VA and MD car its whole life so very little frame rust underneath.
-All stock no mods.
-Bought it off a soccer mom so I doubt its ever been off road.
-no rear sag
-all weather rubber mats included
The Bad:
-Probably needs a tune up. I was planning on doing it when I bought but didn't get around to it.
-crappy debadged rear license plate holder/trim
-small rip on driver seat. the seat still feels very supportive.
-Original fog light don't work. It looks like a dealer installed fog lights. The fuse is good and the relay is there as well as the factory switch. I believe its a common problem with the factory installed fog lights. They were crappy quality. Either way it is already wired so putting new ones should be easy.
I am open to reasonable offers.

Reason: clarification
I did some work on the 4runner today.
Cleaned the leather seats with Lexol cleaner and then Lexol conditioner. As well as took a picture of the rip in the driver seat. Like I mentioned it doesnt affect the support and the next owner can just swap leather covers from the driver and passenger seats.
I also cleaned the throttle body and MAF. The throttle body was surprisingly clean so my guess is that the previous owner had cleaned it as some point.
I also inspected the head gasket in both sides and there appears to be no oil leak in either side.
I also took some more pictures of the underside that show the little rust that there is. Also tried taking pictures of the relay and fuse for the foglights but that proved challenging since the battery is on the way.
I have also attached the carfax report that I ran a week ago.
I am motivated to sell the 4runner since I would like to do a suspension upgrade on my other dd 4runner. I want to get some trekmasters and the 99 tall springs.
For those of you who have done the 99 tall spring upgrade would it be possible to just swap the back springs and retain the 97 front springs? The fronts ones seem in good shape and would save me some money. But I am not sure if the difference would be too much and would cause uneven tire wear.
Anyway, shoot me an offer if interested.
