FS: 3rd gen 2000 SR5 4Runner - TRD SC, Toytec/Bilstein - San Jose, CA - $11k OBO

***SOLD!!!****

Hello Everyone!

Well, the day has come. When I bought this Runner, I had told myself that I would never part ways with it, however, circumstances and economy have changed and my job requires me to drive a little too far to keep this bad boy...so a more economical car is in the future for me.

The truck is in great condition, I get compliments on it everywhere I go.

I am the 3rd owner - however the truck has been in the Bay Area its entire life. The first owner installed the supercharger at ~50K miles, and I have just installed a full new nose cone kit as of 152K miles.

I purchased it from the second owner in October of 2011 with about 129K miles on it. The 4runner was pretty much stock with the exception of the supercharger, K&N filter, and Fabtech front coilovers ( which I have since replaced with Toytec Ultimate Coilovers).

The second owner had the water pump and timing belt changed at ~90K miles. At about 135K, I had the gaskets, radiator, plugs, wires, pcv, and a few other bits and pieces replaced. I wanted the truck to drive like a champ for as long as I owned it.

The truck has been built to be on and off road. It has been a daily driver all its life. I put the new suspension on it to not only improve the looks, but to make the ride much better both on and off road, which it does.

No major scratches or dings in the paint, however of course there will be normal wear on a 14 year old car. Truck drives straight and handles great!

Con: The interior driver side rear panel has damage to it. I had a set of dumbbells in the back, took a turn a little too fast and a dumbbell cracked it. You should be able to pick up a replacement panel for less that $100 from a part out.

Have most maintenance records from previous owners, and all maintenance records from the time I have owned it.

The details:

I thought that was your truck on craigslist. Lame! What are you doing with that 7th? Also I'm interested to see how much you end up getting. Our rigs are very similar and it would be interesting to see what mine could be worth.

Yea man...disappointing for sure, I really do love this rig. Holding onto the 7th injector for now until the runner sells. Maybe the buyer might be interested in purchasing it as well, and if not, you can guarantee you will see it posted up on the forum...I have sooo many extra parts laying around the house right now...everything needed for a tundra brake upgrade, skid plates, 7th injector, LEDs...etc the list is endless. I'm interested to see what I will get for it as well...I have put soo much money into it, it is sort of depressing that I will not get anywhere close to what I have put in.

What are you thinking of going with next? Also I might be interested in the skids if your truck sells. I will only sell my 4runner for a Tundra though, otherwise it's staying.

you interested in the stock skids? or the one I just bought? I was planning on selling the runner with stock skids and selling the aftermarket skid separately. haha funny you mention a tundra...I really really want a tundra...but it is going to cost me a lot more money for the things I want to do to it...plus the gas mileage isnt going to be that great which is what I was hoping to accomplish. Tacoma, jeep grand cherokee, and lexus ct200 hybrid are the 3 that I am looking at right now...however the more and more I think about it, the more I want to take the for sale thread down...its so nice having no car payments and I would want to buy brand new so insurance would be much more expensive.

Nope aftermarket. I've got my stocks, but looking to add some armor now.

I only want a 1st gen Double Cab Tundra though. The new ones are way too big for my needs and the wife approved one when we can afford it. Don't go with a Jeep, it won't be worth it in the end, but the Tacoma's are sweet.

I will keep you updated on the skid. New Tundras are big, but so nice. I agree that Tacoma's are sweet, and is what I am leaning more towards right now. Why do you say no Jeep? All input is appreciated because as of right now I really cannot make up my mind.

Food for thought. If you end up getting a Tacoma, I wouldn't expect much better MPG unless you get a 2WD and leave it stock. I average 17 in mine, and all I've done is add 265's.

Yea...figured as much. 2WD is out of the question if I am getting a truck or SUV...Go big or go home, plus I drive to the snow all the time for boarding so 4WD is a must.

I heard you on that. Currently in the market for a newer 4runner, and can't bring myself to get a 2wd one. Even though it's going to be a grocery getter, still can't do it. Last year the 4wd grocery getter got us out of a sticky situation, so now I feel vulnerable without.

List it in Oregon. I sold mine for $10,200 and it had 166,xxx miles, no supercharger, stock suspension, and not nearly as much aftermarket options. I know add-ons don't usually translate into a higher cost of vehicle, but... here in Oregon they sell.

GLWS!

I know most people don't like the idea of shipping, but I'm located in Montana and would be interested in this... If it's something you'd consider, shoot me a PM. Thanks.

just curious: where you get the suspension work done? or did you DIY?
