4Runner Fans,
Our growing family has officially outgrown the 4R so it is time to sell our 1999 Highlander edition. Here are the pertinent details:
1999 4Runner, Sr5, V6, 4WD, Highlander edition, 138k miles.
OEM details: Rear locker, rear heater, sunroof, 4.30 gears, tan interior and a super cool looking completely non functional hood scoop.
Mods: Stubbs weld-on sliders. JVC double din HU with bluetooth, ipod hookup, etc. Weathertech both rows and cargo area. Hella micro DE fog lights. Taco whip antenna.
We purchased this in March of 2013 with 112k miles on it and had the 100k mile service done: TB, WP, housing, t-stat and seals and a new Koyo radiator. It got a new set of BFG ATs 265/75/16 in July '13 that are still in good shape with approx 22k miles. In the last year we've replaced the front sway bar bushings, fuel tank sending unit, steering rack bushings and rear shocks.
The truck is overall in very good condition. Paint is shiny and no significant scratches or dents or damage. Looks great from 10' away. Certainly not perfect from <10'. Interior is in great shape.
We took it up to VT and into the PA state forests a few times before getting a Land Cruiser, so the underside is not pristine. I had a body shop professionally repair a section of frame rust in the typical location on the inside of the passenger side frame rail towards the back. She has had 6 previous owners, and an accident on Carfax back in 2004 (clean PA title, all VIN numbers on body panels match). It's been in VA, MD and PA all it's life so this is not a California truck! I also regret to say that we one time even had the oil changed at Jiffy lube (gasp!) If any of that scares you then this is not the truck for you.
If you're looking for a very nice, strong running, awesome little truck, this would be a great choice! If you want a show truck or 16 year old time capsule then you should move on.
Asking $5,500.
Please check out the attached pictures and please contact me only if you are serious about possibly buying the truck.
Thanks,
Ben
