Interesting that you sent this because I actually looked at it today. Has quite a bit of rust on the driver side fender body panel/under the battery and some other issues that made me question its previous life and care. Passed on it. Thanks though. Saw several sweet 4tunners while driving around this weekend.

If you're willing to part with as much as $8k, you should limit your finds to rustfree, under 100k mile samples from 2002 and up - on 4WD models, that is. A premo 2WD 3rd gen should be a coupla grand cheaper.

I paid $6200 for my '99 Limited 4WD with 184k in tip top condition and a 95% appearance rating - that's a very common price point. Just saying...

That's funny! But sorry it didn't work out. Just bought my first 4Runner and have been amazed by the number of devotees out there. Seems every other day someone stops me in a parking lot wanting to ask about mine or tell me stories of theirs. BTW is that a 40 series Land Cruiser in your profile shot?
