CL posting:
97 4Runner Limited 4wd with e-locker
I hate to part with her, but I have another 4Runner now and I just don't use this one.
1997 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4wd with factory e-locker
Runs and drives perfectly
Has seen very little use for the last year since it was retired from being my DD, but I have been driving it daily for the last two weeks to make sure everything is in order.
She's not the prettiest I know, but she's functional.
Located in Birmingham, AL
$3,000
Something I forgot to mention in the CL ad is that I have a newer style center console with cup holders I never got around to installing that I will include if you want.
Good stuff:
- Timing belt, water pump, idler pulleys, all belts, valve cover gaskets recently replaced about 1000 miles ago
- Tundra brake upgrade (199mm calipers)
- Upper ball joints, lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, steering rack bushings replaced about 25k miles ago
- External transmission cooler installed and stock cooler bypassed to avoid "pink milk shake" failure - google it if you don't know about the potential for this issue
- New factory antenna mast (powered)
- Everything including heat and air works, all power windows work
- Good tires recently road force balanced
- No significant rust
Bad stuff:
- Unrepaired dent on the rear drivers side, several other dings and scratches
- Interior leather is in rough shape. I have been using seat covers.
- Clear coat is peeling quite a bit.
- Still has original suspension which is worn out
- Still has minor oil leak, not sure exact source, it's not the valve covers as those have been replaced
Other stuff:
- Plugs and wires replaced about 50k miles ago
- Shift solenoid in transmission replaced about 75k miles ago along with new internal transmission filter and transmission fluid drain and fill
- I have receipts for most of the parts I have replaced, most of which were Toyota factory parts.
- Truck has always been in Alabama.
- 4th owner, previous two owners were family
- Reason for selling is that I got a newer 4runner and this one is just not used enough anymore.
