—Stereo system: I personally put in a sweet system. JVC head unit that accepts USB/iPod, CD player, has Pandora and sat radio capability, powered Kenwood 10” subwoofer, and a Kenwood amp drives all six car speakers, which I replaced with high end Pioneer and Infinity units. Best of all they are all behind factory grilles so thieves can’t look in and see them.

Heh. I just saw that this evening as I was in barnes and noble buying a new atlas for this rig. I'm sure he's had that article ready to go for a couple months, but it is amusing.

I have to say, I am liking the tires though. Not noisy at all on the road (I mean, for offroad tires). Handled well in wet and dry, and did OK on a sand trail. Not sure I'll buy them again since here in SoCal mud really isn't an issue, but that's a great price point.

The manual trans is an interesting idea. I'll keep it in mind for whenever this rig gets rebuilt, though that should be quite a while.
