This is really hard to do as I love this vehicle, but we have two 4Runners and a new racecar on the way and really don't have a need for this many cars. I absolutely love this thing and to be honest I'm not 100% convinced that I want to sell this, but i'd rather not be strapped for cash so I'm putting this up for sale.
PLEASE READ FOR ALL DETAILS ON VEHICLE
1997 TRD Supercharged 4Runner 4x4 with the 1st generation supercharger. Mileage: 254k. As with all supercharged vehicles, this has that beautiful stereotypical supercharged whine when you step on it, and packs a little bit of a punch for a 3rd gen. I purchased this 4Runner with 220k miles and since then I have put an enormous amount of work into it to make sure it runs like a cherry with no issues for another 100k. Justin at AutoTrends performance in Fort Collins has recently given it a full inspection to make sure everything is good on it, which it is. I bought this from California and because of this there is almost no rust on the underside of the vehicle, and absolutely no rust on the body. It will be hard to find another 4Runner in this condition. Interior is in great condition with no rips on any of the seats. One thing to note, as with all 4Runners in this color, the hood and roof has had a little clearcoat failure. As a result, the hood is vinyl wrapped in Avery Gloss Black, and the roof is plasti-dipped black to prevent any further clearcoat failure - it gives it a nice aggressive look. Since I have purchased it here's the preventative maintenance I've done to the vehicle:
220k - Timing Belt/water pump replacement and new head gaskets
230k- Valve Cover gasket replacement
240k- New Lower ball joints
242k- Replaced oil cooler gaskets and transmission pan gasket. New fuel filter. New radiator cap.
244k - NGK spark plugs, NGK blue spark plug wires, OEM Toyota coil packs. Fixed exhaust leak.
249k - TRD Supercharger install
252k - Brand new struts and rotors/pads, 3" lift.
