$7500 Cash - Firm. Serious inquiries only, please.
Literally runs like new.... like any legendary Gen 3 should. All original, and in great shape. 4x4 loaded Limited. There are some minor scratches/tiny dents to be touched up (have original touch-up paint), but as you can see from pics it is in terrific condition overall & very clean. The anthracite paint is one of the rarest colors, and this one doesn't suffer from paint failure like some (probably because it has been garage-kept for 20 years). There is no body rust, other than the tow bar (as usual) - which I touch up.
Mechanicals are all perfect and interior is immaculate. Non-smoking vehicle. Exception is some wear on the driver's seat leather and a ~ 3-4 inch sideways tear in the leather on the side of the driver's seat right above the power controls. Other than that, almost perfect. Have 2 keys but no FOB (was lost). Tried to get 3rd party FOB to work but couldn't get the ECU to operate with it - so I just left it alone.
Was driven (and seriously babied) by a fire chief in Schaumburg IL for 16 years before I bought it for my kid to drive. Still has a radio mount in the front passenger area carpet. Over the past several years I've put some new shocks, tires, new alternator, new battery and muffler on it, and a front brake job. Plus change the oil.
This is a perfect vehicle for someone who wants to get their hands on a 3rd Gen 4Runner in terrific overall shape and then spend their valuble $ on upgrades instead of superficial stuff. This gem made it to the top of the challenge hill at Silver Lake (MI) as a stock 19-year old,and can last another 19. Being stock and this age, it could use some serious suspension upgrades though - as most here would expect.
I'll post pics of the interior soon - need to clean it up & vac first. Also note the engine doesn't look as clean as it did in that pic. I can't steam-clean it like it was when I bought it.

(If anyone is wondering ... son is in college now, and I'm treating myself by buying a TRD this summer. If anyone knows somebody selling a '16 Quicksand TRD, let me know... or let them know I'm looking!
