FS: 5th Gen 2012 4Runner Trail Edition, $26,500, Long Beach, CA
Here it is. For sale is my wife's 2012 Salsa Red Trail edition. We purchased this for her in February of 2013 new from Toyota of Cerritos. It took us months to find a Trail edition in this rare color. It is the BEST color of the trail edition of this generation. It has been serviced by the dealer since day one and oil changes at 5K miles with genuine Toyota synthetic oil and filter (although the dealer told us we could change the oil at 10k, we've never drove over 5K miles without an oil change with any of our vehicles). We have recently sold our house with a garage and are now renting. Therefore, we don't have a garage to store her in anymore (garaged most of her life). NEVER been off-road, ever, which is sort of overkill what she used it for, commuting to work and making Costco runs. Current mileage is 91K. Two years ago we made the following changes, although none to the engine or drive-train:
-BF Goodrich K02 tires new installed at Costco
-Method Roost wheels in 18"
-StopTech slotted rotors w/Centric Fleet pads (HUGE freakin' difference than crappy stock, with plenty of meat on the pads left)
-Bilstein 5100 shocks all around (the front are height adjustable, and currently at the 2.75" lift setting)
-Alignment done at JC Alignment in Huntington Beach after installation
All of these changes were all done at the same time, around July, 2016 with the exception of the new Interstate battery purchased from Costco installed 3 weeks ago.
I don't feel like explaining what a Trail edition is, but simply put, it's awesome. It has the KDSS suspension, which means it corners like a street car, but the sway bars will hydraulically disconnect to get maximum articulation when you're doing crazy stuff like off-roading or rock climbing. But seriously, this car is too nice to be doing that. Get a beater for that.
Tags are up to date and I have the pink slip in hand. Which reminds me, this car has been in ZERO traffic collisions. Not even a little love tap from the back. Nothing.
Now the bad, and I'm really sad to say this but, I think I may have inadvertently caused two scratches on the driver side front door. It is about 7 inches long, and was just deep enough to get into the color coat. This happened a year ago. I didn't want to get it repaired because I don't like after market paint touch ups. It usually causes more issues. I tried my best to take pictures of it.
Car is located in Long Beach. Call or txt me at 562-889-4324. If I dont pick up just txt me. Thanks!!!
Now $26,500!! Obo!
