Reluctantly offering up a very clean 1997 4Runner SR5 4x4 with cloth interior that my dad bought new from Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville. He drove it until about 4 years ago when I took over. He simply wasn't driving it enough and I didn't want him to sell it, so I drove it up to Chicago. In the past 4 years, i've added about 25k miles and honestly don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. So, here we are. I am sure I'll shed a tear the day this one drives away with a new owner. Price is a bit hard on this but I think $7000 is reasonable.
Good:
110k miles
ONE OWNER!
no accidents
clean title
timing belt, water pump, plugs replaced about 2 years ago
tires replaced about 2 years ago
pristine interior
mechanically no issues at all
Not so good:
Chrome front bumper has lots of surface rust, could use a new one
clear coat peeling on roof and hood
That's it!
that's actually a really good deal for a clean 3rd. OP, you could get 9k all day for a truck like that out here as long as it's not too rusty underneath.
Bump - got a little caught up with work and family. This is the main reason I'm selling, just not enough time to throw on a lift kit and take it off roading. Instead I take it once a week to work on mostly highways - I can feel it getting bored.
Underside photos attached. I think it looks decent. Again, it only spent the past couple of years in Chicago. Prior to that, it's mostly been a southern car.
