He lives in New Hampshire, where the salt the roads, so that makes me sad. I know it will go die a slow rusty death But I hope it will bring joy to his family for many years to come!

Ah, so true about the road salt. But I promise that its first stop upon arrival is to get a fresh blast of OIL undercoating. I know it isn't a panacea, but I will keep this truck clean for as long as I can.
Super excited.

she's home
Well the new whip arrived from Josh's place in Washington state and after a long haul across the country is now part of our fleet in New Hampshire.
Just a pic for an updated set of the new local weather.

Be sure to do up a big thread on all the features and how you're going to garage queen her and protect from the elements

Please don't drive in the salt! Garage it for the winter.
That 4Runner is too nice to die a rusty death.

nice rig you picked up.
oiling does work; i use fluid film on both of my '87s. i'm in west central nh. take the inner panels off to get good oil coverage on the inside of the body panels, and pull the door opening sill trim to spray the rockers. i also pull the inner fender plastic and rubber shields to coat the metal there.
i even spray under the entire chrome windshield trim. don't forget the tailgate. i pull the trim panel, close the window about 2/3, and coat the inside liberally, including the window regulator channel.
