Brief History:
I purchased the 4runner new on 12/26/2014 for $40K after taxes from a toyota dealership in Ohio. I immediately went on a 7,000 mile road trip throughout the southwest (from Michigan). In November 2016, when the truck reached 40K miles and out of warranty, I had the truck lifted and outfitted with new tires and wheels. I had a body mount chop done for extra clearance while turning into parking spaces. Later that year, I moved to Colorado, and the truck has made over 10 trips from Michigan to Colordao (2500 mile round trips). At 70K miles (March 2018), the brake pads were replaced and rotors were resurfaced. I then moved to Reno, NV And a few week ago at 90K miles, I had the Lower Control arms completely rebuilt ($1,100); the bushings were worn-out. I had a new battery installed as well.
Condition: The truck drives great! It still has plenty of life remaining and I've been told these trucks get well over 200k miles. The suspension is all working properly and the truck tracks very nicely on the road (great alignment). The truck has been serviced at toyota dealerships in Michigan, Colorado, and Reno. All the modifications were installed by professionals at the off-road shops in the previously stated states. The tires were purchased at Discount tire with warranties, and I had one tire replaced March 2018 and another May 2018. The other two tires still have a good amount of tread remaining. There is a dent on the driver's front quarter panel. It's actually just a really bad door ding. I had it quoted to get fixed at 300, but have never thought it was worth it. There is some surface rust below, but I was told not to worry about it, and to just spray it black with rustoleum spray paint (but I have chosen not to do that before selling because I don't want to deceive anyone). The viper remote start works and is very convenient, but I'll be honest, it can act-up and malfunction sometimes. The interior of the vehicle is very clean and I have always kept it that way. I have only ever spray washed the truck. It does have various paint imperfections when examined up close, but nothing too noticeable. Here is a link to a photobucket with lots of pictures, showing the condition of the vehicle
DrewJoseph's Library | Photobucket I have all-weather floor mats, that are not pictured (I was washing them). The snowboard mounts on top are not included, sorry.
The truck currently has 90K miles on the odometer, I'd say 70K miles were spent on the highway. The truck has never been off-roading or rock crawling; its only seen dirt roads leading to campsites and trailheads. It was an excellent vehicle for carrying my paddleboards, snowboards, mountain bikes, and a dirt bike. I am selling the truck because my current job entails a long commute everyday and I'd like to get better gas mileage. Please message me with any questions, thanks for reading and looking at my truck. I really hope to find someone passionate to buy it.
