1989 Dodge Raider, V6 with 5-speed. 217k miles, I bought it in late 2018 to use as a daily beater to get to work. When I got it, I replaced the timing belt, water pump, shocks, brake calipers, rear brake cylinders, all new rubber and hard brake lines, pads and shoes, rebuilt the power steering pump, flushed the radiator and replaced the coolant lines and all belts. I’ve been sending oil samples to Blackstone labs and reports are coming back clean with metal content within normal levels. I switched it to semi-synthetic since I got it. Overall the truck runs great, stops great, doesn’t overheat, and has been a very reliable daily rig. It has a small oil leak at the oil pump housing, and it burns some so monitoring oil levels is important. Sadly the A/C does not work, although the compressor and blower work so either find some R-12 for a recharge or convert it to R-134a. Body has some rust in the wheel wells, plus one of the hood hinges needs replacement. Interior shows it age, but other than the drivers seat it’s not bad. Drivers seat spring-assisted frame works smoothly. Transfer case and auto locking hubs work. Tires have 20,000 miles on them, lots of life left.
This is identical to a Mitsubishi Montero SWB, right down to the keys. The only difference is a few Dodge badges.
Looking to get $2000 for it. Located in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida.
