Hi All,
I just purchased this vehicle from a friend as my next 4x4 project, but now deciding to just sell it as is in its unmodified, unmolested state. This is located in North County San Diego.

My wife owns a 2005 4Runner 2WD already and we have 2 other 4x4's so we just don't need it right now. The truck drives absolutely perfect. Everything works. Not in a hurry to sell.
$11,500 firm
Interior is 8/10. Leather is in good condition. Only small <1" seam separation on drivers side seat. 2-3 cracks in dash. Seems unfortunately common on these. One seatbelt buckle in rear seat row is rough but can still be used.
Exterior: 7/10. Again, seems common with these years with the paint. Small chips on hood and around the perimeter of the truck. Roof has clear coat issues. From a few feet it looks great though. Would make for the perfect 4x4 rig.
Pardon my ignorance, so the VVti engine came on 2005 and not 2006? Does it have the dreaded air pump? I have an 03 V8 and considering getting a VVTi but it seems problematic from what i have read so far also an interference engine.
Yes the 2005 model years came with the VVTI and updated transmission. As far as I know, all VVTI motors have the "dreaded" air pump. I've owned 3 of these and never had an issue with the air pump though I've heard it is a common failure. The guy who owned before me is a retired mechanic, so he may have changed it out at some point. Unfortunately no receipts for it though.
