SOLD
Hello Folks,
Had bought this runner with the intention of lifting it and driving it until the wheels fell off, but with a new baby on the way, the wife would like a newer family hauler. So offering this here with the hopes someone makes it the offroader I had always hoped it would be.
She has 142,082 miles on her and is all stock with the exception of an upgrade to the larger Sport brakes.
Previous owner used it mainly to tow his porsche to the racetrack and when I bought it, had just under 90k miles on it. After I bought it I replaced the timing belt, water pump, and exhaust. I will do my best to find paperwork for this and update this ad when I find it.
Everything works as it should; windows, sunroof, switches, AC blows cold, heated seats heat your seat, etc.
This has been our main car for the last 5 years and hasn't let us down. I have hauled people and dogs, sometimes with dirt bikes in tow, through all weather in every state from Maine to Virginia with no issues. The V8 eats up the Vermont mountains and gets up to highway speed with ease.
That being said, there are some issues that could be addressed.
1.Rust: It's a northeast car, so there is considerable surface rust on the underside. Previous owner didn't do much to help. Since I have owned it I applied rust inhibitor and have the underside washed frequently, especially in the winter. I have attached some pics, will send more to any interested buyers.
2. Trans slipped recently: I am not sure this is an issue as it just happened 2 days ago and not again since. Trans slipped a few times when I was coming around turns much like it would when there's low fluid. If I was selling this to a dealer, I'd play dumb on this one, but want to be transparent with this community.
3. Manifold Leak: known issue with the V8s. I bought the car knowing the leak was present fully intending to put new DT headers and exhaust on. It doesn't effect performance in any way, just annoying.
4. Some rust bubbles started forming on the tailgate. I stuck a piece of duct tape over one spot last week that looked like it was starting to rust through.
5. Crack in the passenger side dash: See the pic. I ran some 14ft 2x4s down the side when building a deck and caused this crack.
6. Wheels are pitted: Nothing wrong with them other than they look janky.
I haven't had time to get her cleaned up and show ready, but below are some pics as is.

I am fairly firm at $6k and feel the price reflects the cost to address the above issues. I've learned a lot from this community over several years, so feel free to respectfully let me know if you think I am off the mark.
Damn near forgot to add that there was also some body work done due to an accident while under my ownership (wife had to remind me). I have the paperwork for it and will provide details for anyone interested. Short story is while sitting at a red light, the driver ahead of me tried to beat the light but decided to stop instead of chance it, then reversed to pull back out of the intersection. While waiting for the light to change, she failed to put her car back into drive, despite my constant honking and waving. Once the light turned green, she reversed into me. It was very low speed and resulted in damage to the fender and passenger headlight. No frame damage, etc. Work was done by Town and Country Collision in Maplewood, NJ. Added pic of the aftermath to the album.
Thanks,
Dirty
