FS: 3rd Gen 2000 4Runner Limited $8K NYC Area
Third owner, enjoyed by me since 2018. Only 211,000 miles. All routine maintenance and preventative work completed on an as-needed basis to keep it in mechanical condition. Strong acceleration, no rough idle, no check engine lights. Factory leather interior in excellent condition.
22 year old car, so not it's perfect, BUT last year of 3rd Gen w/E-locker and everything major works, or has been addressed.
Mostly highway miles, including a number of recent 500 mile trips with no issues ever. No major offroading. 4wd system works perfectly; 4-Low and locking differential tested on a regular basis to ensure actuation.
Would make a perfect daily driver (as I do), weekend truck, first car, project truck for offroading, or especially tried-and-true overlanding / car camping platform. I have tried to be as forthcoming as possible in this post, and would love for the car to go to another enthusiast who will use it for what it's meant for.
Clean carfax and clear title.
I love this truck, and you will too. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country tomorrow. Only reason for selling is I am upgrading to a new one and can't keep both - NYC parking.
SPECS:

WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
Cosmetic:
- Rust on front lip of hood (none in engine compartment, no frame rust or rot other than north-east normal surface rust)
- Missing front bumper side guards (above L/R fenders)
- Minor scrapes/dents on rear bumper
- Radio antenna needs to be replaced (manual conversion simple/low cost fix)
Mechanical:
- Exhaust leak at muffler connection, could be re-welded, or needs new muffler
- A/C needs to be recharged - I recharge each summer and so it blows cold. Replaced the A/C condenser and compressor but probably a leak somewhere.
- O2 sensors need to be replaced (PO420 light comes on occasionally, but passed annual inspection)
Asking $8K OBO. Please reach out with questions. Thank you.
