The time has come for me to move on from this work horse. Southern Californian vehicle its whole life until a little over a year ago when I brought it up to Portland, Oregon. Clean title. Original owner is a family friend and my initial plan for the vehicle was to do a few off-road trips a year. Well, life is funny when it throws you curveballs at times and fun gets put to the side. Fast forward 3 years and the vehicle is pretty much perfect for my light off-road needs and I need to sell it.
My buddy who owned it before used to change the oil every 6 months or 5k miles but I’ve extended my intervals to 10k or a year with synthetic Mobil 1. It’s due for an oil change but I don’t have time to address it before I move so just wanted to be transparent. Here’s a list of things done since my ownership:
- Installed Alpine ILX-207SXM with front and rear Alpine HD cameras
- Compustar 2-Way Remote Start System
- 2 years ago I changed Front Axle, Transfer Case, Rear Axle to Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 Oil; Transmission Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid
- Replaced serpentine belt, engine pulleys, and tensioner
- Installed Bilstein 6112 coilovers (BIL47-260153) and 5160 rear shocks (BIL25-227611) with Icon rear springs (52700); Front JBA STD High Caster Upper A-arms and new Toyota OE lower front control arms
- Installed new OE 06+ facelifted headlights with HID lowbeams and LED highbeams
- 5th gen TRD Off-Road Premium wheels and tires with about 20k miles
- LED’s installed in majority of the vehicle by forum member S p a r k y
- Installed Proforged (113-10144) rear sway end links and Energy Suspension sway bar bushings for front, rear and rear sway bar end links (9.5171G, 9.5156G, 9.8105G)
- Installed new Interstate battery, ceramic tint and ceramic coating done a year ago
- Performed radiator flush and changed engine oil Castrol 0W-20 8 months ago
Not much was spared with making this rig right and I’m looking to get around $13,500 for it as she sits. I need to sell it soon so I’ll be posting it on other outlets and will entertain reasonable offers. It has never been abused off-road (or even done anything harder than fire roads) and the scars were all inflicted at the malls. If you have any questions or want more pics, feel free to reach out to me and we can exchange info from there.
