WTB: Clean stock (or near stock) 99-02 4Runner
I'm looking for a clean, rust free and stock or nearly stock 3rd gen 4Runner., which is becoming increasingly difficult. I've had two and sold my last 5 speed truck and have regretted it since.
My wish list: - Rust free is a must
- Clean paint preferred (no or minimal oxidation/sun fade)
- Must be automatic (for the wife) and 4WD
- Mileage isn't too much of a concern as long as it has service records.
- Dream color is Imperial Jade (green), but I'm not too picky.
- Limited trim preferred, but I won't turn aside a nice SR5.
- Must be 99+.
- Must be stock or nearly stock. No aftermarket bumpers, no snorkels, etc. They look great, just not my thing. Small lift kit is okay. I'd be doing an OME 880/906 lift either way.
Located in Richmond VA but willing to travel for the right truck!

I just listed my 1999 4Runner that meets all of your requirements except color(mine is black with bronze trim). Better not show your wife or you'll be stuck. Price is higher than most because it is rust free, cleaner than most, and needs nothing.

Well you can't have everything. lol. I'm selling mine for $6000. It's got some body rust and some oxidation on the passenger door. Prob cost about $3000 to weld and do a paint job.

Patience eventually pays off, and I'm willing to pay a fair price for the right vehicle. My last two trucks were completely rust free with clean paint.
Bump, still looking!

02 Limited 4WD 184K
I just listed mine on the local Craigslist (Panama City, FL). I call it a full dresser as it has (I believe) all available options and they work! It seems to meet your list ok, except paint. It is gold and has minor oxidation, still shines nicely though. There are a cpl small dents, one about quarter size, the larger is about 1 1/2" on the rightside hatch post. The hood will need to be replaced and painted - normal hood rust! I don't want to upset moderators so you could look it up or contact me about it (of course you can do as you have been doing and just bump it and say still looking!) I am still trying to figure how to list it here...... Thanks.

Thanks, saw your listing but it's not what I'm looking for. Good luck with your sale!

Hello! I saw your post for for a WTB clean 3rd gen 4runner MY99+. I have a 1999 in Raleigh, NC with 327k that I purchased to fix and have been working on for the last couple of months. I love 3rd gens and would keep it, but the wife wants me to sell and find one in black rather than silver.
Every time I buy a 4Runner I completely go through it. I replace the valve cover gaskets (FelPro), reseal the half moons, replace the cam seals (FelPro), cam plugs (FelPro), intake gaskets (FelPro), throttle body gasket (FelPro), knock sensor harness (OEM), injectors (Motorwest), spark plugs (OEM), spark plug seals, timing belt (AISIN), water pump (AISIN), timing belt idlers (AISIN), timing belt tensioner (AISIN), heater control valve (OEM), radiator hoses (Gates), LBJ's (OEM), UBJ's (OEM), Steering Rack (OEM), Outer Tie Rods (OEM), Front & Rear Upper & Lower Control Arm Bushings (Whiteline), Panhard Bar Bushings (Whiteline), Transmission fluid (Valvoline), Transmission Filter (ATP), Air Filter (Wix), Sway Bar Bushings (AC Delco), Sway Bar Links (AC Delco - varies dependent upon lift height).
Things I have not yet done to this 4Runner that I could still replaced if you would like:
The drivers seat is torn on the bottom. I have a replacement if you would like me to replace it.
I usually replace the stereo with something that has Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I can do this if you would like.
I usually replace the speakers with something a little newer. The factory speakers are kind of underwhelming.
Since I do as much suspension work as I do I always get the vehicle aligned when I'm done. If you would like I can put whatever lift on it before getting it aligned so it is ready to go.
The hood isn't in great shape. The clearcoat is peeling and the paint is oxidized. I'm happy to get this painted if you would like.
I can weld on an EimKeith Panhard Correction Kit if desired.
I replace all fluids prior to sale. I tend to use Royal Purple as my fluid of choice for differentials, transfer case, and engine oil. I use prediluted Zerex for engine coolant.
I'm thinking I'll ask $8-$12k for this 4Runner dependent on which specific modifications you (or anyone else) would like. Let me know if you're interested or have any questions!
Thanks!

I'd be willing to part with mine for the right offer. I'm also located in Richmond, VA.
1999 SR5 4x4 3.4L, Auto
Silver exterior
Tan interior
268k miles
Paint is pretty decent. Has a small oxidation spot on the hood. Chrome rear bumper face bar is pretty rusted. Other than that it's a clean car. I haven't done much to it except for maintenance since I bought it 2 years ago. I did the deck plate and intake silencer delete. It's got DEPO clear corners, clear bumper lenses and LED headlight bulbs. I've got the OEM Toyota fogs with the OEM turn signal stalk along with a BNIB magnaflow muffler I'd be willing to include that haven't been installed yet. All weather floor mats, window visors.
PM me if you're interested and I can send pictures.

Appreciate the offer, but that doesn't sound what I'm looking for.

Looks like you have your settings so I can't send PMs. Send me one if you'd like.
