FS: 3rd GEN 1997 Manual SR5 4WD 176K miles : $11K (price drop) - Fremont, CA
SUMMARY
-> Stock SR5 4WD 3.4l 6-cylinder, manual, 1997 Toyota 4Runner with no modifications - drives really well
-> 176K mostly highway miles and some forest roads - very little off-roading
-> Only the 2nd owner, since 2003
-> Original clutch, but will need replaced at some point, since they don't last forever
-> Serious potential buyers only please
-> To test drive, you need to know how to drive a manual, meaning your left leg and right arm get to do extra work. This is really important since I don't want my clutch burned out. If you are unsure, I will do the driving.
-> A proper 4WD-low test might be challenging since no dirt roads around here, but we can still go straight over some curbs 🙂
-> If you'd like any additional photos, please let me know and I'll post
-> Selling as-is
PLUSES
-> Clear Carfax that I can share with serious buyers
-> Working moonroof, electronic rear window, rear heater, A/C, aftermarket radio with CD and Aux
-> Timing belt and water pump replaced at 122K miles
-> Clutch Start Cancel button for starting out of tricky spots
-> Tow package with 2in hitch
-> Roof-rack
-> Current CA smog certificate (obtained mid May 2023)
-> Electronic key (2x) plus 2 regular keys
-> Full spare and unused jack
-> Original user manual plus Haynes maintenance manual
MINUSES
-> Incomplete service records (lost over the years). I have some.
-> Some fluid leaking from transfer case and transmission
-> Signs of surface rust towards rear (see picture)
-> Power antenna doesn't retract - so no automatic car washes
-> Crack on passenger side windshield which has been there for 20 year and hasn't gotten noticeably bigger. Small dent in front bumper
-> Front vent redirection lever has come off, so you need to reach in to the vent fins in order to change air direction
-> Trailer wiring plug on rear bumper may need replaced (never used)
-> Have running boards and mudflaps but not the nuts/bolts if you want to add them back
-> Left side speaker wire is a bit loose so sometimes only get sounds from right speaker
