Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, my beloved 4Runner has been totaled after a rear-end accident. I am posting to see if anyone wants to save this 4Runner before it is sold into insurance company oblivion.
2000 Toyota 4Runner Highlander Edition
148K miles
Millennium Silver on Oak
5-speed manual transmission
4x4 (no locker)
2-owner car with all records and the original window sticker, never any other accidents or body work.
Runs great, no check engine light, passes smog every time. Extremely fun to drive, handles amazingly well, girls love it, toss-able like a go-kart, and yes, it can drift. Did I mention that it is fun to drive? GOAT!
- Tundra Bilstein 5100’s, Eibach front springs, OME 890 rear springs
- Panhard drop, diff drop
- SPC adjustable upper control arms
- Spidertrax spacers all around
- ARB front bumper (original bumper included)
- Weathertech front and rear floor liners
There is rear-end damage as seen in the photographs. The official Toyota dealership body shop in Berkeley, California, stated there is no frame damage. It appears to only need a new rear hatch. I have not opened the hatch since the accident, and the latch does not function, so there may be damage under the hatch that is not visible, for purposes of considering this purchase, assume that there will be damage under the hatch.
The transmission pops out of first gear. A new OEM clutch kit, flywheel, slave, etc., was replaced ~20K miles ago.
