Exclamation Lift Installed

Finally got the lift installed today, WooT! I'm really happy with how it went as we had only one minor issue with the ball joints but all else went smoothly. The final product IMO looks awesome! I went with 295/65r18 Duratrac's so I'm not quite done yet I've still got some trimming to do to get these to fit without rubbing.

Anyhow on to the pics.

On the lift ready to start

Left front

Frame support brace spacers

Sway bar relocates

Right rear X-Reas check valve, sorry no pic of the front check valves. Each OEM shock connects via one of these.

Rear spring comparison. I went with 2" lift rears.

Rear complete

Wheels and tires on, finally getting an idea of how it going to look

On the ground for the first time, looks good so far

On the rack for align after fixing my goof with the balljoints

The final product...WOOT!!

I do feel as though the ride is a bit "bouncy" tho, hopefully when the springs settle this will go away. Also while I am pleased with the lift and the looks I'm not happy with the alignment. I will start another thread on the alignment I guess and maybe you guys can help out.

Edit 5/12/12: Got the align issue figured out thanks to Harper. I had the ball joints installed in the uca's incorrectly

Edit 5/18/12 Springs have settled nicely it no longer feels "bouncy" to me. Actually the ride is very good, it's more truck like but in a good way.

Grillcraft Grills added:

Thanks to TOYSTRY for his great How To

NOTE: It is not neccesary to remove the inner portion of the lower grill. You can just cut the slots where indicated in TOYSTRY's "How to" and mount your Grillcraft grill directly over the OEM honeycomb. This makes the bottom grill much easier.

NICE! Love the look. Hey could you post a up close of the mudguards, I wanna see if the will fit on the front of NY 4th Gen, the ones on there just don't get the job done. (All of the little rocks and dirt gets kicked up and messes up the cladding)

Thanks Loco Not yet, I've been off road but have been alone so I don't like to put myself in a position to get in trouble. This weekend I'm heading up to New Hampshire for a trail run then the next I'm off to PA for a weekend at Rausch Creek so I'll push it a little harder then.

Finally got around to installing my Magnaflow muffler and aFe intake. Truck now sounds kinda ricey, was hoping for a little deeper sound, hopefully it will grow on me.

Pic of the intake, sorry forgot to get a pic of the muffler while it was still on the lift but it looks like a muffler hehe
And ya I know...but I didn't have any black zip ties.

Had to relocate this little horn, it's the one you hear when your traction controll wigs out, it hides between the air box and inner fender wall. After all was done I had a CEL, the 4LO light flashing and traction controll light lit Thought I pinched a wire under the box so pulled it out to find nothing Turns out the little horn had a crappy ground in it new locale, scraped of a little paint from the bracket and it all worked a treat
